I am really not sure about this. They "felt compelled" to share how the name came about and to announce their new venture but they're not releasing details because they want the focus to remain on the Covid crisis?

This is a mess. Full of contradiction. I finally admit that they have lost their way.

What I find staggering about Harry and Megs is they pretty much had it all. They were handed a huge great mansion, in Windsor no less. Tax payer funded renovations.

Then they walked away. Into an uncertain future.

Does Harry really believe in any of what he's doing ?

He was politely described as, 'sporty' i.e. thick during his school days. Is he some sort of dolt ? Like the king who abdicated was. Apparently the day after he abdicated he looked at Wallis and said, 'what do I do now ?' This was because he was so used to other people telling him what to do it had never occurred to him to think for himself. (He abdicated to swerve being King. Wallace was a convenient excuse.)

WaterIsWide · 08/04/2020 09:56

Harry doesn’t know what he wants.

He wanted to be husband and father. He wanted that dearly. Megan capitalised on that. He doesn't want to be at war with her like his parents were at war with each other when he was growing up. When it comes to attention seeking, Megan has a lot in common with Diana.

I had my doubts about her since their engagement was announced. Sure they looked happy but I couldn't help wonder what she was up to. Does she even like him ?

Tonyaster · 08/04/2020 09:58

It is very weird that he is unintentionally reliving Dianas life.

GlitchStitch · 08/04/2020 10:00

I thought they previously said Archie was named after somebody Harry served in the army with. Or am I imagining that I read that somewhere?

Have they made any statement praising NHS staff, or wishing Boris well? I'm not sure how they are communicating at the moment now their Instagram is defunct.

Also aren't foundations usually launched by mega rich people with their own means to fund it, such as Bill Gates. How are they going to fund Archewell.

GlitchStitch · 08/04/2020 10:12

Also just had a search for the website link, Archerwell .com came up and that is the website for a global oil company, just one letter difference!

AmIbeingTreasonable · 08/04/2020 10:14

Type archewellfoundation.com into a browser 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

AmIbeingTreasonable · 08/04/2020 10:17

They definitely did release it, no paper would have found that and linked it to them 🤣🤣

AmIbeingTreasonable · 08/04/2020 10:29

That should have said *release it themselves

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/04/2020 10:32

Water
I also read the book and the way Dodi orchestrated the dangerous and unnecessary get away.

Harry can’t even see that he and his wife have and will court the press. So how he could possibly have the insight to realise his mum did the same or that a litany of failures rather than the paparazzi were to blame for his mum’s death?

PatchworkElmer · 08/04/2020 10:37

Yet another massive own goal 🤦🏻‍♀️

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/04/2020 10:37

AmIbeingTreasonable
Just googled archwellfoundation.com 😂😂😂

NightCzar · 08/04/2020 10:44

There's loads of pages on insta which have already registered it too.

lunar1 · 08/04/2020 12:08

Blind Item #5
It has nothing to do with Greek history. It is all about her. The name of the kid and the ridiculous unpronounceable charity are essentially anagrams of her own name. It is always about her.

www.crazydaysandnights.net/2020/04/blind-item-5_7.html?m=1

A pp called it!

carnivalisover · 08/04/2020 12:58

Didn’t they mention in an old interview that Harry had a beloved commander named Archie, who had a namesake - a red haired character in a cartoon strip - that funnily enough, Meghan had loved as a child and collected?

Sounds like one of those improbable coincidences that some types of folk make up when they are trying to create common ground.

ArchePenguin · 08/04/2020 12:58

Has anyone got a link as nothing is coming up on my phone for the YouTube piece.

Wheresthebeach · 08/04/2020 13:34

Archewellfoundation.com should take you straight to youtube

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/04/2020 14:50

@NightCzar
I don’t do Instagram. Could you link any please? Goes off to google....

nellythenarwhal · 08/04/2020 15:10

Her real name is Rachel

LaMarschallin · 08/04/2020 15:30

Wel, I was a bit scathing upthread about "Archewell" being an anagram of "Rachel" but maybe they do think that's how anagrams work.

It's a bit reminiscent of the sitcom "Taxi" though, when the 60's acid casualty played by Christopher Lloyd is asked why he changed his name to Jim Ignatowski.
"Weeell," he replies, "doesn't it spell 'Starchild' backwards?"

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 08/04/2020 16:27

Wheresthebeach · 08/04/2020 23:24
