Why do HARRY and MEGHAN write their INSTAGRAM posts with this WEIRD mix of words in block CAPITALS and others in standard script? It's very ODD.

Popping in. One would hope the A listers will be too polite to say anything too negative about royalty in their midst. Though they may have something to say about their grammar.

Most interesting thread.

I've watched a few episodes @PorridgeShotgun and like it - will be watching more as lockdown continues. Bea and Eugenie are great!

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 04/04/2020 17:49

Puppa is my favourite!

5LeafPenguin · 04/04/2020 17:49

porridge shotgun I watch it. Bea and Eugenie are great. I also like Fergie. I hope she is as kind hearted as she is made out to be on there ( and no where bear as gullible).

SenecaFallsRedux · 04/04/2020 18:08

the 'me and whatshisname who started Senmtabale' speech? Whatever happened to that expensive education?

Good question. I suspect that common usage perhaps has more influence than an Eton education. William also confuses the nominative and objective cases.

HarryDaylight · 04/04/2020 18:23

Or it could be that he's thick.

7Penguins · 04/04/2020 18:29

Puppa is the best and I love that she has her own theme every time she appears Grin

Prince Charles has also made the me/I mistake. None of the Royals are particularly academic AFAIK but I have no issue with that.

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 04/04/2020 18:30

The Windsors is funny. Harry Enfield is excellent as Charles. And I'm very fond of William as played by Hugh Skinner. But Vicki Pepperdine as Anne - inspired!

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 04/04/2020 19:08

Edward Vee One One One Grin Grin

And Anne sacking the gels Grin

Even More Than Occasional Words Being In Capitals Is This. It Upsets My Eyes So Much

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 04/04/2020 19:32

Currently rewatching the one when they go on strike Grin

CleansUpPenguinPoo · 04/04/2020 19:51

Oooo Yolo, wine in tea cups! Drunk with little finger crooked, one presumes?

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 04/04/2020 20:18

up to you cleansupPenguinPoo personally I'm more of a mug gal but I can scrub up when required!

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 04/04/2020 20:22

Puppa - Johnnie is a billionaire not a millionaire Grin. I love Puppa!

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 04/04/2020 20:25

My parents went to BP garden party many moons ago. As immigrants who had done well for their community they were so proud to be asked. As my dad said not bad for someone who didn’t have a pair of shoes till he was 12/13. He came from a very poor family. As did my mum.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 04/04/2020 20:25

I think I love Evil Camilla the best, with her fags and vodka. Also rather love Kate ruing her carefree 20s and now life of Duty and Responsibility (caps esp for thetiaramanager!)

FazakAli · 04/04/2020 20:42

I just read that DM article about the Sussexes Malibu mansion aspirations. It had never occurred to me that once you're in the millionaires bracket, you can be not rich enough. I hadn't realised that the Sussexes aren't wealthy enough for the lifestyle they're aspiring to.

Cutting loose from the RF, particularly during the pandemic, wasn't a very well thought out plan. What is their USP now since their previous USP was the RF & that's what drew people to them in the first place.

I'd be embarrassed trying to socialise with people who are clearly above my league, socially, professionally & financially. They seem very determined to buy their way in to that community. Plus, they don't seem to be embarrassed by the transparency of their aspirations. I wonder if they would ever be secure in their position knowing that people are only interested in them because of their family connections. That's the one thing that they were keen to discard when they left the UK behind.

PorridgeShotgun · 04/04/2020 20:44

I'm just starting series 3 with a pack of dark choc digestive. I love Puppa and Camilla. The bits with Anne, Bea and Eugenie have me in stitches.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 04/04/2020 20:47

canIhaveapenguin that's lovely, and I hope your parents really enjoyed it - sounds like they did.

FazakAli not having enough money to keep up with the Jones is one thing on a normal level, but quite another when you consider the cost of the Malibu mansion, the household staff, the security, the gardeners, the pool boys, etc etc. And yet some sort of charitable foundation is going to fund all this and more? Their accounts are going to have to be ultra transparent before the press get hot on the trail.

SussexPenguin · 04/04/2020 20:52

I absoloooootu-ley luvvvvve The Windsors, said with vocal fry...yer...

The actress who plays Eugène is Seggs’ girlfriend in This Country.

TimeLady · 04/04/2020 20:57

I've not seen any of The Windsors. Is it available on catchup?

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 04/04/2020 21:00

The actress who plays Eugène is Seggs’ girlfriend in This Country.

I have never noticed that, so she is!

TimeLady watch it on All4, every glorious episode!

BelleharePenguin09 · 04/04/2020 21:01

I must catch up in The Windsors. Have merely caught a glimpse and, like others, really really liked Puppa! If I had been responsible for creating Kate, I would have been much kinder. She is after all such a favourite with the public.

BelleharePenguin09 · 04/04/2020 21:02

All4? Coolio.
