Why do HARRY and MEGHAN write their INSTAGRAM posts with this WEIRD mix of words in block CAPITALS and others in standard script? It's very ODD.

Put some crumbled feta on the fries, you won’t regret it.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 10/04/2020 22:52

mmmm feta! I could have the feta in the green salad, that would be healthy wouldn't it?

7Worfs · 10/04/2020 22:55

Absolutely! While you are at it, put a sliced boiled egg in there and some black olives.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 10/04/2020 22:57

not an olive fan, but could bung in some anchovies/tuna and new potatoes for a nicoise? which might make the chips redundant... but maybe not.

ArchePenguin · 10/04/2020 23:02

I don’t like cheese on my chips

Wheresthebeach · 10/04/2020 23:08

The domain is genius.

As a Canadian can I suggest a bit of gravy on those chips?

Winterlife · 10/04/2020 23:59

Lol. Nice touch with the colour scheme and font choice!

I hadn't noticed that. Grin

Poutine, all the way!

Oh be still my heart winter....those photos are mouth watering...

ArchePenguin · 11/04/2020 08:19

Thank you winterlife. We had poutine in a bar in Toronto after 2 bottles of red wine and it was fabulous! I will bookmark that link for future reference.

After reading about all the PR disasters associated with these two, I think they're not being advised by anyone at all. I don't think any self respecting PR firm will want to be associated with H&M. The ex Royal pair are damaging to the reputation of any PR team, they're like hot potatoes. That's why all these simple mistakes keep occurring as they're doing it alone. Or probably Meghan is doing it alone although she's had previous media experience. However, it's all been front end rather than behind the scenes, legal & admin experience. Harry has always had staff to do the background work and checks for him so he's a complete novice.

ArchePenguin · 11/04/2020 08:55

This is interesting en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Sunshine There is actually a Mr Sunshine. His client list is .. erm... interesting and their wiki practices are .. erm... also interesting.

BalloonSlayer · 11/04/2020 09:05

Haven't RTWT but DH was saying the other week that he saw a picture taken over Boris Johnson's shoulder where you could see the paper his speech was written on and the text had capitals for the words to be emphasised in that Boris-like way, eg: "And now is the TIME, my friends, to get Brexit DONE, because the sooner it is ACHIEVED . . . " etc etc.

So Maybe you should read their Instagram posts in a Boris voice.

Balloon that’s how I’ve always read them but the quality of the messages remains low.Grin

Dodgy wiki practices, interesting.

Poutine recipe looks great, I wonder if I can make a reasonable facsimile...

catinb0oots · 11/04/2020 09:40

Whoever is doing these links is a genius 🤣🤣🤣 H&M must be raging

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 11/04/2020 11:12

They must be thinking nothing is going right for them at the moment. It reminds me of Charles's wedding to Camilla when everything that could go wrong, did, including the Pope dying.

It happens to all of us sometimes, but not on this scale.

PorridgeShotgun · 14/04/2020 06:18

I can't remember if it was this thread or not, but it was rumoured that Meghan had bumped an A-lister from the narration of the now legendary "she does V/Os" Elephant documentary on Disney.

Browsing Reddit I came across an article about Edward Norton's support of elephant conservation in Masai.

Could Ed Norton be the a-lister whose completed commentary was binned? If it is him then I almost feel sorry for MM, he's said to be notoriously meticulous and difficult to work with, but still has sufficient star power to make her "triumphant" return to Hollywood, sticky.

I wouldn't have liked to have pissed on his chips the way she has.

ArchePenguin · 14/04/2020 08:48

Edward Norton has to had a lead role in a major film since 2006 so he isn’t really A list, in the same way that Keanu Reeves is

But I can imagine him bearing a .massive grudge

Here is a list of Hollywood conservationist who you wouldn’t want to piss off www.tentree.com/blogs/posts/the-number-ten-celebrity-environmental-activists

Don’t mess with Cate Blanchett or Mark Ruffallo: he might go green on you.

ArchePenguin · 14/04/2020 08:49

Should read “hasn’t had”

Tezza1 · 14/04/2020 09:18

PorridgeShotgun I read that the original narrator was Meryl Streep. I'm sorry, can't remember where I read it but remember thinking it was a reliable source.

However, reliable source or not, I personally can't see any company ditching Meryl Streep for MM.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 15/04/2020 08:01

Whoever was bounced I think it was a mistake. MM does not have the right voice for audio work. It would have been better to film a short introduction from her, like a foreword in a book. They could have promoted the elephant conservation charity at the same time.

Ineedabreak19 · 15/04/2020 09:12

What makes a voice good for audio work? Generally interested.

7Worfs · 15/04/2020 09:22

Probably things like pitch (lol), inflections, pronunciation, cadence of speech, etc

Ineedabreak19 · 15/04/2020 09:27

Thank you.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 15/04/2020 13:24

All of the things posted by 7. When you are reliant on sound only the quality of the voice is paramount, because any quirks in accent, timbre, etc are accentuated. MM has a perfectly acceptable voice but it's not her at her best.

Whereas if they had used her to introduce the film the focus would have been more her overall presentation, which is fine.
