I think an awful lot of elderly people will not be eating properly, be feeling desperately lonely and depressed and isolated. If we are all struggling, it must be awful to be at home alone for weeks on end without seeing another person.

As with any emigrant I'm sure it'll all seem wonderful to start with, but there's a well recognised path where that turns into irritation, then "it's worth it for what I've gained", then sometimes downright depression, and eventually a settling in to the "new normal"

Whether Harry will go through the same, and if so at what point, remains to be seen

Like most people I can’t reconcile their desire for a so called normal life with their desperation to hang onto the titles and pandering that goes with the position.

I watched the Commonwealth service and at one point everyone around and behind Meghan was looking solemn and serious, not just the royals but three or four rows behind them. Meghan was grinning widely like a crazy person, and I remember wondering what on earth she was smiling for. So it turns out she was just gurning at the cameras. What an idiot.

Secret Service protection? I remember reading that Joe Biden lost it at some point after he was no longer VP. They are not eligible for Secret Service protection.

I would expect that they will be PAYG like any other 'sleb or high profile (in Harry's case) foreign national coming to the US. I suspect the British tax payer will be part of the PAYG arrangements in some way.

I just saw that 'train to be a counsellor online' post on Insta. I have no evidence either way that one of the two of them is approving those posts or has no idea. But my word, that was incredible and if they aren't looking at the posts, they should be.

Reminded me of the FB adverts I am seeing whereby I can train to be a Reiki counsellor for GBP 15.49 (literally that price) . Is anyone else getting those???? Might have to resort to that if this carries on past the summer. Maybe some of you could volunteer for free during my training?
