The tights issue is just a stick to beat her with. As is the dress, the teeth, the hair, the smile, the words she speaks, the umbrella, the shoes and so on, and so on, ad infinitum.

Well if I look half as good as Meghan in my wedding pictures I'll be very happy, only got 5 weeks to starve and fit into my dress though so not hopeful

As I've said before, I do follow this thread (among others like the Masterchef one and the Chalet School books one*), but - as I've also said - I do respect the title and only post silly jokes or random stuff about eg Pointless.

Personally, I think it's healthy to see opinions other than one's own.
But this morning I was told that reading this thread as well as the multiple thread is evidence of a worrying obsession.

Ah well. You can't bring sunshine all the time.

*Slightly concerned about a personality profile based on that.... joke!

I was just miffed, not so much by your post but by one elsethread suggesting I was an obsessive stalker and a cause for worry because I follow this and the other thread

So it seemed that nobody was being rational and I overreacted to your post.

I see how my phrase of "stunt baby" could cause a "Yikes!" response given the mad rumours of MM wearing a moonbump (if that's the right term).
But honestly - I do respect the spirit in which Dave started these threads and have only posted with jokes or neutral (re H&M) remarks.

Some pretty nasty comments on the other thread, wish I hadn't looked. There are some very sad people on there .

I wrote to them both in January wishing them luck in their new lives and received a letter back from Buckingham Palace today thanking me for my support. It's now framed in the downstairs loo.

I loved the post from the SA woman. So measured, thoughtful and polite. I wanted to say so, but daren't go on there because I will probably get banned from MN.

All I can say is... not long until they are back 'home' in Canada and the feeding frenzy will abate. Nasty criticisms will stop and the threads will hopefully die down. Can anyone honestly blame them for leaving? The level of vitriol all over has not changed. No reflection from anyone as to why they might have done this.

I think they are incredibly brave and it's bloody brilliant to see them looking so happy.

I have to say that as someone who's lived in South Africa, I found people's comments about Meghan saying she was having a tough time "in front of starving Africans" quite offensive. Africa is a continent not a country and given that the focus of that tour was on entrepreneurship and women's education, "starving Africans" was a lazy stereotype.

Thanks Rousette. Yes it was me who recently bought wedding shoes, been wearing them at home so I'm not hobbling on the day though. My Mother is the biggest worry on the day though as she's wearing a hat that resembles a UFO and will be teased relentlessly about it. it will all be good hearted though.
Yes I agree about the vitriol being spewed against one woman however I read a copy of the Sun today and the write up about last night's event wasn't too bad unlike some of the disgusting stuff elsewhere. I have just seen Prince Harry on BBC news with Lewis Hamilton opening something at Silverstone he looked relaxed and interested, the news snippet was only a couple of minutes long so not much to criticise.
