I think you misread the title.

I honestly honestly think the slating of H&M becomes habit. It becomes the go-to position for some people.
It's like the Trump lovers, no way ever ever would they change their opinion on him whatever he did, however bad he was, because to do so means to look at themselves and question what they were thinking all along.

No way would those who have crticised H&M ever change their stance because of their entrenched views from before, they are not prepared to open their minds, and think OK that was quite a good thing they did. It is easier for them to find fault in absolutely everything, including when H&M help vulnerable people, and they will never stop this criticism.

But I suppose people can say we are the same with the positive light we throw on them.... that we are not prepared to see the negative I think. I think we do know they have ballsed up on occasions, they have handled some things wrong. But with the negative views, there is not even a glimmer of positive.

How astute of H&M to leave the UK because for some of the press and for those that loathe them, it will never change, sadly.

W and K have just said they are doing everything they can to keep their grandparents safe! I’ve never heard so much twaddle! What have they done to keep The Queen safe. Apparently technology makes it ok not seeing people. Well W and K my 96 year old DM doesn’t have technology, numerous palaces or staff. What a load of rubbish they talk!

How do H&M help vulnerable people? Offering housing, medication, baby sitting, drug rehabilitation centres, mental health centres, or just talking about them?

W&K are in the unique position of being able to say anything and be feted. Bit like the Queen really.

I was particularly referring to the two days they spent delivering food to critically ill patients in LA. And the press about that.

And H&M aren't? In their multi-million dollar rented/borrowed/bought estate in LA even if the kitchen cabinets in the background of Harry's shot are distinctly dated

I like W & K but hate how they are fawned over whilst H & M are slated. I think W & K's popularity has increased massively due to H & M. If you read the btl comments after any article about H & M in any newspaper now, they are ridiculed by the comments from the public, even if the article was positive. W & K's are full of adoration, far more than they were even a year ago, they've become so much more popular with the public since H & M left.

They are all deeply unlikeable but all the others keep their mouths shut so will obviously get a free pass because nobody, but nobody, wants to hear what royals think on a particular topic. Most people literally want them to only cut ribbons.

William opened the Birmingham Nightingale hospital. (I thought it was an unfortunate camera angle and also that he looked very much like one of his ancestors whose name escapes me)
H&M delivered food packages. (I thought his hair needed a cut, much like most people's at the moment).

I disagree. From what we can tell from their public personas, I think most of them seem pleasant enough. Not sure I'd want to sit next to Andrew at a dinner party, but I bet Camilla is a great laugh. And Harry used to be, until he adopted the sulky teenager persona.

Agree, there is still this double standard that some people refuse to see. The Countess of Wessex, Beatrice, and Eugenie have been shown helping and being praised for it, yet it is seemingly attention seeking when H&M do it? Can’t imagine living through that for years. At least the older royals didn’t have social media to contend with.

The other thing that annoys me is the constant pitting women against each other and people lapping it up and talking about it like they know it’s true because of their own preconceived notions.

Now it’s looking to be Kate vs Beatrice and Eugenie.. guess since Meghan isn’t here anymore they can’t use her too much anymore in this instance.. 🙄

Barleylemon I completely agree about the reason Harry is criticised and the rest are left alone. Harry complains about everything, I've never heard William or any of the others complain. And Harry looks angry quite a lot of the time, he comes across as quite petulant. When I saw pictures of Fergie and one of her daughters delivering food, I rolled my eyes. Same with H & M, or celebrities, it just looks contrived for the publicity whoever's doing it. Just quietly donate some of your enormous wealth if you're really not doing it for the photo op.

Where has it been said that H&M are attention-seeking for delivering food parcels? I must have missed it.

I have little interest in either of them now they have made it so very plain what they think of us Brits, so why should I seek out information on them? I liked them both very much before, and thought they were a tremendous force for good, with huge potential.
Frankly, they've ruined it.

p.s. I would not expect W&K to mention H&M out the blue but it would've been very much in context when talking about Zoom conversations with members of the family they can't see. How Louis got up close to the camera, and pressed buttons, etc.
