Yeah, I also thought the colouring looks odd.
But lots of people fell for it immediately.

Guess people see what they want to see, but that photoshop is bad really bad, I mean if you're going to do a number on someone to make them look bad make a good job of it FFS and attention to detail counts so does a pair of earrings!

A missing earring and different lighting on the face is not the sign of a photoshop FGS. Why would someone who was photoshopping remove the earrings? Isn't it more likely she took her earrings out?

It's an unfortunate photo, but it's only one and doesn't mean anything. The most likely explanation was she was frowning about the paps. But people defending the photo as photoshopped sound just as silly as those thinking it means she's usually like this all the time instead of all the smiles.

Oh was she wearing them when she got in the car then? How do you know she had only just got in the car? To be fair it does only take seconds to take out earrings. I wouldn't be surprised if she did, they look lovely, but heavy.

It's more likely she took her earrings out at the end of the night than someone purposely remove her earrings for the photoshop. Why would they do that if they wanted people to believe it's real? The ears look the same shape so doubt they were using someone else's ears.

At 12.42 yesterday I posted a link to the Rex Photo Agency page, with the original. It doesn’t look Photoshopped to me, just a strong flash.

The umbrella shots are there too, but the lighting means the raindrops aren’t dazzling like diamonds.

Photos like these are split seconds in time. Expressions, angles etc. used to tell stories. I imagine the dark stoned earrings were likely hidden by Meghan’s hair, or possibly removed, which is less likely, but possible.

it's a genuine photo unless you are suggesting the professional photographer (Nils Jorgensen) or the agency (Rex features) photoshopped it themselves. It's interesting they made it available though, amongst all the other good photos. I guess they knew it would sell.

Having looked at one of the photos just before it there is one where I thought she wasn't wearing her earrings but actually you can just about see them, I think the lighting plus her dark hair didn't make them easy to see so I guess you might just not be able to see them in the car.

You are all right though, people only see what they want to see. That's why it's good when we can provide facts.

Yes agree it's just a snap shot. We all have these, I have more than my fair share. MM rarely does. She's probably just moaning about the paps.

Well, I think some people are photogenic. MM certainly is. (I am not and don't like photos of myself.)

But I would be upset if I were MM and that photograph was published, as it has been.

To be honest, I'd rather pay for them since Harry didn't choose to be born into that role, than fork out vast amounts in costs which we still do for ex PMs, who actively sought their roles.

I think all of the above should help out with the costs, maybe on a percentage based upon their income. Blair for example is worth a fortune.

Yes. At one point, Blair was costing £6M a year, obviously not that much now, but interestingly here's an article saying H&M's security could be modelled on Blair's, which is not insignificant. It all depends on whether you think a member of the Royal Family by birth is entitled to the same as an ex PM.

I think the cost/consequences of not providing security are too great.

security....well if Blair and Cameron (and other ex PM's) get theirs paid, I don't see the problem. cameron chose to be a PM, Harry had no choice about being born onto the RF.
as for the pic. it says more about the photographer than MM.

I don't have a problem with paying for their security. Hasn't it been said that it only works out at something like 20p per tax payer?

I posted on another thread about the fact we pay for security for ex PM's and was told that it was ok because they had, on the whole, done a decent job of running the country!

As others have said, Harry had no choice about being born into the RF and whatever he chooses to do he is always going to be the son of Prince Charles and therefore a target.

Personally I would far rather pay for Meghan and Harry than Blair and Cherie. It may be that their sons need security too. I am pretty sure Blair can afford his own security even if some of the other ex PM's can't

I think what made ppl suspicious of that picture is that it has no continuity. It's this one single picture. Lots of clicks per second, means there should have been several of the same, with H&M maybe having different expressions. Like the other pictures where you can see them walking.

I did not know that Nils Jorgensen took the picture as he does not have it in his website, nor has he even twitted or IG it. Rexfeature does not say who the sources are. I remember NJ had another lovely pic of the wedding carriage of MM photoshopped as winking to the camera, and that is heavy circulated as real.

I wonder who is the photographer that MM has supposedly brought along, because all her iconic pics this weekend have been taken by Samir Hussein and him and his father are long time royal photographers.
