Portia I thought Sophie's hat was splendid. My favourite of all the royal women's choices.

SaidTheActressToTheBishop · 09/03/2020 19:00

But Mustress Mummy is at least right about BoJo’s young pregnant partner clearly not being maternal

She can just tell from the woman walking past school children

Some women aren’t maternal and joyful when they’re a little pregnant

They might pretend but they’re just hippocrits

SenecaFallsRedux · 09/03/2020 19:01

Hats are tricky. I think Sophie looks great overall, but I'm not a fan of that hat either.

PortiaCastis · 09/03/2020 19:01

Ah well as I said I'm not a fan of hats, that's why I'm trying to persuade my Mother not to wear the SS Enterprise on her head for my Easter nuptials Grin

TheMustressMhor · 09/03/2020 19:08

It's Carrie Symonds' first baby.

She won't be maternal yet - very few women are until the baby is in their arms.

Sorry. That ^^^ was to SaidTheActress.

SaidTheActressToTheBishop · 09/03/2020 19:51

Well color me surprised I got deleted for quoting something racist Prince Harry said that's in the public arena

I still think Meghan would have made a better PM's wife than Carrie S though

But then Meghan would make a better PM than Boris too

Or President

Even she wouldn't post on social media as much as Trump does

Give me a banana as a means of sending a message rather than a wall any day

Encyclo · 09/03/2020 19:57

Had a chance to look at the key 5 minutes or so.

Jaysus it was agonising for them all. Kudos to PE and Sophie for making the best out of a seriously awkward situation.

William definitely blanked Harry, Harry looked like he wanted cry at time's and Meghan was totally white knuckling it.

I bet they're all glad that's over!

Bishop

White knuckling is a perfectly fine turn of phrase as well you know.

I believe you're wrong about everything else.

Also, I find can't engage properly with your posting style, I can't quite put my finger on why.

It's not you, it's me.

LaMarschallin · 09/03/2020 20:26

Samcro

I am glad im not a royal
I hate hats

And I wish that I could be royal (or rich - pretty much a synonym? Smile) because I love hats.
But some hats are complicated, as Kate's one was today imo, and need the cooperation of a very good (hence, expensive) hairdresser to make them work.

SaidTheActressToTheBishop · 09/03/2020 20:31

I would never use the term white knuckling about a WOC but you do you

We’ll respectfully disagree on me thinking the best seat in the house was next to Meghan

Samcro · 09/03/2020 20:40

They give me a head ache, i am glad my ds,s future mil is the same.
So doubt we willhave to wear them when they get wed

I always feel/look ridiculous in a hat. I would have to wear a Camilla type hat. I must have a ginormous head! I once tried on a fascinator and my Mum said it looked like "a flea on a mountain" 😂

PortiaCastis · 09/03/2020 20:55

I'm the same I've got a big head and a lot of hair so look silly wearing a hat, however lots of women can carry them off and look nice.

SenecaFallsRedux · 09/03/2020 21:03

I don't look good in hats either, but being an American, it's not a big problem. I think that Camilla in particular pulls off hat wearing, and of course, our perennial thread favorite, Max.

Sunshineand · 09/03/2020 21:04

'Yes Harry' is trending on twitter. Harry blanked Boris. My guy Grin

SenecaFallsRedux · 09/03/2020 21:09

That reference to Max, ha, I thought I was posting on the Style and Beauty thread. Smile

Mummy195 · 09/03/2020 21:44

A picture of Meghan in a car with Harry doing the rounds, in the car where she is grimacing is apparently photoshopped.

But even if it was not, is she supposed to laugh all the time even when she is being told bad news, or someone says they are in pain, or tells her something disgusting, or she maybe she is in pain.

TheMustressMhor · 09/03/2020 21:45

Samcro I look awful in hats, too, but I love them on women who can carry them off.

PortiaCastis · 09/03/2020 22:01

The small-time nugget who photoshopped that pic didn't try very hard did they, as in the earrings the colouring etc are completely batshit surely nobody fell for that one. Anyway I agree that if the woman smiles she's accused of having a permanent grin if she doesn't she's a miserable so and so. It's a lose lose situation!

Roussette · 09/03/2020 22:06

I look dire in hats too, have a big big head! And adult DD when she was born had the biggest head in 10 years so the Doc told me
and didn't I know it!, so she takes after her mother Grin
