People are at great risk of sickness, death in extreme cases, losing employment and money and potentially having their own mental health adversely affected by imposed isolation and being cooped up with their squabbling school-age children at home for weeks on end.

The bare hard facts are that their wealth and privilege means that in a worst case scenario, they are much more likely to survive than a working-class Brit.

I agree with the above sentiments. I hope, for their sake, they hunker down and make themselves invisible for at least the next few weeks. This is no time for ‘woe is me/prominent displays of wealth/you are all toxic’ narratives. Everyone is bricking it - I hope that they are mindful (I’ve just repeatedly crossed out ‘sensitive’, and ‘respectful’, and settled on ‘mindful’) of this.
