Here's a follow on to the last thread, which was really enjoyable.

Sorry posted too quick. I don't feel bad for Boris being pranked though?

yolofish · 11/03/2020 21:14

I'm currently thinking the War of the Roses, both historical and the 1989 film (cant remember who was in it but Danny De Vito directed).

HarryDaylight · 11/03/2020 21:20

Michael Douglas and Katherine Turner. It was screenplayed from a best selling book (I seem to remember) and was a really vicious film script.

yolofish · 11/03/2020 21:25

thanks harry seems to fit the narrative then...

WeArnottamused · 11/03/2020 21:29

The Blind Gossip has been around a while hasn’t it? Rose Chormondly?! I’m sure I read about it on here.

Am I right in thinking that someone posted on here pictures of meg making goo goo eyes at William? Or am I imagining it? Read so much recently I forget where I saw things

yolofish · 11/03/2020 21:30

It's funny how everyone on hear seems to hate the Daily Snail, and all it's commentators are haterz/racists/whatever.

I just clicked on a story about the 'hell' HW says he feels as he is going to prison - most of the comments are pretty much along the lines of he got what he deserved. Which I totally agree with.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 11/03/2020 21:30

I had the book of the film War of the Roses, it's quite depressing really. However I loved the Michael Douglas/Katherine Turner duo. So naturally funny together, really love Romancing the Stone! I love 80s film humour. Trading places, Beverley Hills Cop, Airplane, Police Academy, High Spirits, Mermaid...the one with Tom Hanks where the house is a mess...

(sorry for going totally off track)

yolofish · 11/03/2020 21:34

Romancing the Stone was a cracking film! As were the Airplane ones and the Vacation ones. The Tom Hanks one - do you mean the Money Pit? In which case every house we've ever bought has been one of those...

However I cant remember penguins in any of them?? Grin

Bellehare099 · 11/03/2020 21:36

MM would have loved to have met William first.

Bellehare099 · 11/03/2020 21:36

@ WeArnottamused

Bellehare099 · 11/03/2020 21:37

But he wouldn’t have paid her a “blind” bit of notice. Ha

Roussette · 11/03/2020 21:39

MM would have loved to have met William first

Really? Perhaps she fell in love with Harry?

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 11/03/2020 21:43

Yes Yolo! it was the Money Pit that's right. No penguins though!

Even if William had been tempted he would have been too sensible to go there, imo, but frankly I don't think she's his type. William wouldn't have gone for a very opinionated woman. He seems to have realised that he needs a woman who is happy to take a backseat so to speak, although I'm sure Kate has a lot to say behind closed doors.

yolofish · 11/03/2020 21:44

belle steady as you go, you may be getting into thread deletion territory.

Yes I am sure M fell in love with H. I dont know if she fell in love with the man/child, or with their potential future - both/either of which is OK as it's up to them.

As long as we are not paying for their choices, it's fine. I do believe they would be safer/more protected/cheaper to secure here in the UK.

stairway · 11/03/2020 21:45

You’re right Roussette and we all know she didn’t even know he was a prince until he told her. That must have been the biggest OMG an American has ever done!

yolofish · 11/03/2020 21:46

catherine they could have put penguins in the bath that fell through the floor in the Money Pit? would have upped the ante even more (although possibly not for the penguins, FGS will no one think of the penguins?)

Winterlife · 11/03/2020 21:47

I remember Club Penguin!!!

Oh, please don't remind me! My daughter and son, then aged 6 and 5, telephoned to buy "Club Peguin" credits to "furnish" their igloos. I found out when the phone bill arrived, $200 later! Angry

Winterlife · 11/03/2020 21:48

Harry is probably on here. Everyone seems to be urged to go non contact with their families

That made me laugh out loud!

7Worfs · 11/03/2020 21:50

That must have been the biggest OMG an American has ever done!

ROFL 🤣

Bellehare099 · 11/03/2020 21:50

Understood, Yolo.

lizzie1970a · 11/03/2020 21:50

I think she fell in love with the opportunity he represented. Whether that has developed into any deep, long-lasting feeling, who knows. I never expected M to last. I thought she'd leave but leave alone and bit later than this. I didn't expect what's happened. From H especially. Just my opinion.

I hope they last for Archie's sake as because H will have lost a lot by what he's given up but there's so much stacked against them.

A lot of the pictures are of M with a hand on H's back. It's so odd to me, so protective of her as if he has a need for it. Is it genuine? Who knows.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 11/03/2020 21:51

That would have been an excellent addition to the script Yolo!!

I'm craving a milk chocolate penguin biscuit now..

lizzie1970a · 11/03/2020 21:52

Oh yes winterlife, I got caught out by that too - furnishing their igloos Grin

yolofish · 11/03/2020 21:53

I am thinking, for when we need to move on, that Club Royal Penguin could be a good title?

I cannot tell you all how much penguins have been making me laugh today, in fact I am sniggering even now at the penguin gags.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 11/03/2020 21:55

But I think the hand touching/ushering/clasping/eye gazing is either her love language (although a bit OTT from my point of view) or a deliberate relationship intimacy device. A way of establishing and maintaining intimacy. It is a real thing.
