I’m surprised that we’ve got no idea of how she arrived here

It doesn't really matter, but I guess that might depend which airport she travelled from? If the paps were watching Vancouver and she actually left from somewhere like LA they could easily have missed her

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/03/2020 19:53

this make-up is a whole different level, she is barely recognizable from certain angles

Call me old fashioned but I quite like my royals to be very recognisable.

rosinavera · 05/03/2020 19:54

place marking

lyralalala · 05/03/2020 19:56

Sophie has been doing a lot of the “less glam” abroad jobs for a while. I think she and Edward will take over from the Gloucester’s in terms of foreign engagements.

They already do all of the foreign royal weddings and christenings

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/03/2020 19:57

I’m surprised that we’ve got no idea of how she arrived here

On the basis that we seem to be informed of every other move, thought and gesture you mean? Yes, funny that. Perhaps it IS possible to avoid publicity if you try hard enough...

Needthechat333 · 05/03/2020 19:59

I love the personal umbrella holders. Maybe one day I can aspire to that - never having to deal with another non conforming twisted umbrella again. Also a personal driver. That would also appeal! I’m dismayed as to the state of the world. We have people suffering, a creaking nhs, job losses due to company bankruptcy. But here in this rarified world of royalty, I see unearned, taxpayer money being spent on unnecessary luxuries. I wonder whether we paid for the make up artist flights and time too. Really want full transparency on the money flows.

I was just wondering the same thing, Needthechat333. I received a letter today telling me that my mother in law's care home fees are going up by 5.9% and my husband's much needed operation is likely going to be delayed again due to coronavirus.
Then these to spongers waltz in and out. It's a disgrace.

HarryDaylight · 05/03/2020 20:12

TWO not to

BillieEilish · 05/03/2020 20:17

I've always loved the Royal Family (not ashamed to admit it)

But dislike of these two has now made me totally change my mind.
I have only negative feelings about them.

Those pictures are nauseating.

Harry has been used for sure (IMO) but he's not a child, he has been so neglectful to the public, his family, everyone that had such good wished for them BOTH at the wedding.

I have no words for this display.

Alwayscheerful · 05/03/2020 20:19

I usually love Meghan's style but she looks like she should be in Barclays Bank directing customers to the self service tills.

Butterymuffin · 05/03/2020 20:22

being revered and cosseted so much that one doesn’t need a coat

I think it was Michael Kors, years ago now (pre economic downturn) who said in an interview that he never included coats in his collections because rich people didn't need them, they had drivers..

Trivial I know but does the blue of her dress (which I like) go with the blue of his suit (which I'm lukewarm on)?

Haven't seen any close up face pics that really give a sense of the make up. She's very beautiful though so the MUA gets a good start.

DeRigueurMortis · 05/03/2020 20:24

Always. I thought similar.

The dress is a bit corporate if I'm honest - imho it's just lacking a name badge Blush

That aside she looks her usual stunning self - lovely make up especially.

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 05/03/2020 20:24

I was hoping they wouldn’t get booed. It leaves a nasty taste imo.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/03/2020 20:30

The soles of those shoes are going to be ruined...

OverUnderSidewaysDown · 05/03/2020 20:35

Her teeth look different.

You are absolutely right. I cannot believe how brazen they are. He has been an adult brat.

drina27 · 05/03/2020 20:41

I’m not surprised someone booed. They have not behaved in a way which is deserving of blanket admiration.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/03/2020 20:54

I can't agree with booing. Too much like bullying for my liking. Why would you turn up to see someone just to boo them? I hope it didn't happen.

LittleBearPad · 05/03/2020 20:59

It did happen - it’s easily audible on the twitter video.

LittleBearPad · 05/03/2020 21:00

The dress is dull. The colour helps. A bit.

drina27 · 05/03/2020 21:02

The booing happened. I am not saying I agree with it but I am not at all surprised somebody did it.

yolofish · 05/03/2020 21:03

I dont like booing either. Silence would have been better - but then if you are incensed enough to go and stand in the rain, you're probably trying to make a point. Need to look at the pictures to see about the make-up!

ThroughTheRoses · 05/03/2020 21:06

Shame Archie couldn't come, but great the make up artist could fly in from New York! Says it all.

TimeLady · 05/03/2020 21:08

My gut reaction to today's photos are entirely negative, I'm afraid, and I doubt I'm the only one feeling that way.
