That they didn’t speak volumes to me and very much reveals their hand. It’s about the wonga, the glitz and the validation. I’m sure there was a charitable and philanthropic aspect to the JP Morgan engagement, but I think anyone would be naive to think that they want to advocate for charities without also highlighting themselves.

The JP Morgan Chase website has a few sections under Corporate Responsibility that might tie in with H&M - Military & Veterans is one section, The Fellowship Initiative another. I can't see any press release on H&M having given a speech though.

Is JP Morgan the same as JP Morgan Chase? So many mergers and takeovers with these companies.

That is interesting fleas as Laine has always been a big supporter of M&H, and firmly believed Meghan was sincere. But then Lainey has connections to MM’s BFF Jessica Maloney. I met Lainey over a decade ago btw.

Jessica Mulroney(sp?) seems to be very influential. Interested what you say dandy about Lainey (who I have never heard of) previously being supportive - dont think that link was.

Investment bankers. Literal traders. People who give away the bare minimum “philanthropically” to divert attention away from the greedy havoc they create for Joe Public with their sub-prime mortgages; their commodity trading (fossil fuels, blood diamonds; their financing of infrastructure projects that cause direct and traceable harm to the environment, and that’s just the teeny tiny tip of the iceberg. A room full of people who have HU$TLE in their DNA, who don’t know how to think in terms other than “what’s in it for me”. H&M have let these people set their highest market value: they can’t dish any dirt on the RF; JPM aren’t interested in hearing what these two have to preach about when it comes to climate change, the poor and dispossessed in [insert location of choice]; the vast majority of them will have voted for Trump on selfish financial grounds while donating to the Democrats. Once H&M have revealed their hand, that they have nothing to offer of real, marketable value - nothing the audience could make money out of other than the publicity around bagging the first public appearance of this celebrity couple - prices will be set for future appearances and everything else H&M have to sell.

These two are out of their depth. They’re going to get eaten alive.

Other outlets are reporting that Harry spoke; Meghan did not, and Harry's was not a keynote.

The world has gone mad. Can someone please tell me what of any worth have Meghan and Harry got to say? Climate change? Give me a scientist instead of a globe trotting private plane flying hypocrit. AIDS? Give me a doctor or someone who doesn’t use it as a photo opportunity or an excuse to play polo. Education for girls? How about someone who used their very expensive college education for something that wasn’t completely vacuous as acting.

I often wonder what their really accomplished “friends” think of them. If Harry had been plain old Harry Smith he wouldn’t even have got to Sandhurst as his art teacher sure as shit wouldn’t have “helped” him.

According to the DM, Harry was introduced by Meghan, who in turn was introduced by Gayle King. M spoke about her love for her husband, H spoke about having been in therapy for three years to get over the trauma of losing his mother.

I don't particularly want to articulate what is going through my mind but I think the timeframe and the subject matter are significant.

Unlikely to be climate change, sleep, on account of the awkward questions they might have to answer about how they got there.
