No harm in having it ready for the next event/announcement...

It was very innocuous. No reason for it to be deleted. Who requested that, I wonder?

derxa · 30/01/2020 22:20

Any proof that Meghan has smoked? I’ve never seen one photo of her smoking ever. I have but you have to go to the dark side to see it.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 30/01/2020 22:21

I’m getting quite upset about it actually. I’ve just read the guidelines carefully and that post did not break any of them. It was not a personal attack. I’d really like to know why it was deleted.

annielouise · 30/01/2020 22:25

I doubt MNHQ will tell you who reported it.

itswonkylampshade · 30/01/2020 22:28

Now I’m curious to know what it said!

yolofish · 30/01/2020 22:29

Maybe MNHQ wont say who reported it, but will tell you which guidelines you allegedly broke? I dont think you said anything bad, or which hasnt been said before sunset. pissed off on your behalf.

yolofish · 30/01/2020 22:30

to paraphrase: W&K have done a lot behind the scenes to help try and keep H on the rails. I dont think that's bad?

annielouise · 30/01/2020 22:34

No guidelines were broken. Why don't you put it up again Sunset if you can remember it all.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 30/01/2020 22:41

@Dongdingdong it looks like them but others have said it isn't, one is maybe a vet? It was commented on in the IG post.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 30/01/2020 22:43

I can’t remember exactly but the summary was as yolofish said. Just wondering if W and K helped Harry keep on track and now he’s a bit at sea. Even if it was reported, if it didn’t break guidelines I can’t see why it would be deleted.

OverUnderSidewaysDown · 30/01/2020 22:46

I can’t understand why it was deleted either.

Dongdingdong · 30/01/2020 22:50

I have but you have to go to the dark side to see it.

What is the dark side?

it looks like them but others have said it isn't, one is maybe a vet? It was commented on in the IG post.

I’m sceptical - it looks awfully like H&M to me!

KayakingOnDown · 30/01/2020 22:52

Suing or lodging formal complaints against the press will continue to backfire for Harry. It's sad that he doesn't seem to understand this. It shows stupidity or else a stubbornness and arrogant refusal to listen to advisers. I might get deleted for this opinion of course.

It was reported this week that they want to withdraw their case against the Mail on Sunday but the paper is having none of it - it wants to have its day in court, just think of the headlines, especially if Thomas is testifying. It's the Diana effect all over again.

Harry would be far better leaving the press alone - he would have more peace.

Poppyfields21 · 30/01/2020 22:52

Harry has really shown himself up here. He must have thought he was absolutely untouchable, I’m glad he didn’t win this one and hopefully it’ll make him consider suing left right and central a bit more carefully.

SirChing · 30/01/2020 22:55

@Dongdingdong Yes, been cheated on is massively shit.

But ultimately, its the person who took the vows who broke the promises. I do think that with Charles and Camilla, the fact that she seemed to be vilified far more than he ever was, is a great example of misogyny.

All the books I have read indicate that both AP-B and CP-B had an "arrangement", and that AP-B was well aware of what was going on. It's on Charles' head that he was unfaithful to Diana. Noone made him do it. If it hadn't been Camilla, it would have been someone else.

Dongdingdong · 30/01/2020 22:56

It was reported this week that they want to withdraw their case against the Mail on Sunday but the paper is having none of it

Surely if Harry and Meghan brought the case they can also withdraw it - whether the MoS is “having none of it” or not?

DandyAndFine · 30/01/2020 22:59

@SunsetBoulevard3 I didn’t see your post but As it was apparently it’s worth asking MNHQ why it was deleted. I had something deleted once a few years ago that didn’t break talk guidelines. When I messaged them a few times and asked them how it had breached talk guidelines, they admitted they’d got trigger happy and deleted mine by mistake. They apologised and reinstated my post. Mistakes do happen, especially since apparently a lot of posts on certain threads get reported.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 30/01/2020 23:00

Dandy
I’ve just sent them a message to ask. No reply as yet!

strictlymomdancing · 30/01/2020 23:03

have I missed something?

Did one of the royal couples post something under a fake name that appears to be criticising the other royal couple?

happy97 · 30/01/2020 23:05

@SunsetBoulevard3 I can still see your post at 9.45?

happy97 · 30/01/2020 23:06

Was it this one?

Harry and Meghan (15)
SunsetBoulevard3 · 30/01/2020 23:06

Just got a reply. It was a mistake apparently and has been reinstated. Thanks for alerting me those who did. I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.
Thank you Dandy for the helpful advice.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 30/01/2020 23:08

I’m sceptical - it looks awfully like H&M to me!

I think that was the point. I can't find that particular post now so it may have been taken down.

Dongdingdong · 30/01/2020 23:10

I think that was the point.

Indeed, but personally I think it actually is them.

DandyAndFine · 30/01/2020 23:17

Surely if Harry and Meghan brought the case they can also withdraw it - whether the MoS is “having none of it” or not?

Well no, not if MoS don’t want to settle or the court hasn’t order it! You can’t just bring a case, get the other side to incur costs and then say oh hang, it’s not looking good for me, cheerio. It thru want to withdraw, they’d have to offer to settle and pay costs. The DoM would expect them to publicly liability. But at this point, a lot of the major legal work may have been done. And the court case will sell papers. So the DoM don’t have a lot to lose by refusing to settle.
