Does this look a ridiculous baby sling or is MM cack handed?

This just looks really uncomfortable for MM and her son? Does she have it on right? I had one of those babybjorns and it seemed a lot of less strappy and one sided than this contraption?

Have you just always got everything right first time parenting wise op?

ShirleyPhallus · 21/01/2020 11:29

Pretty sure that one of the reasons Chelsy / Cressida gave for the breakup and not wanting to marry in to the RF was the intense media scrutiny

Bet they’re very glad of their decision now

Fanniesyeraunt · 21/01/2020 11:29

I wouldn’t swap places with MM for all the tea in China. Or anyone in the public eye for that matter - I don’t know why anyone would want to be famous.
I don’t even use social media as I can’t stand anyone I don’t know knowing anything about my personal business. Sorry - just musing!

If I'd called the paps I'd make sure my baby sling was fitted correct. She's just awful.

MrsDoubtTried · 21/01/2020 11:33

Poor baby.

xtinak · 21/01/2020 11:34

This is how I wear mine when I walk and breastfeed at the same time

It's because one strap has slipped down her shoulder. Mine does it all the time it's so annoying!

LavaLamp5566 · 21/01/2020 11:38

I think people need to grow the fuck up and leave Meghan alone

Jesus, the media claim that if she's not ruining Harry's life then she's ruining Archie's life.

None of us know her, so none of us can judge her. How about we worry about other things like climate change or the fact that there are fires burning, volcanoes going off, earthquakes happening etc

But then again. Tearing Women down seems to be the big thing to do these days

Antihop · 21/01/2020 11:38

@xtinak I was also wondering if she's breastfeeding in that photo.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 21/01/2020 11:38

FFS, I've just come back from the shop and saw this pic on a front page and literally just thought "that's a nice photo"
It's worthy of another bash thread?
Bloody hell, I don't blame them for bogging off, they can't do owt lol

timetest · 21/01/2020 11:41

I never properly got the hang of baby carriers either. Never had one of mine fall out. I dare say Archie will survive too.

LEELULUMPKIN · 21/01/2020 11:47

Thank God I had no one photographing me for the first two weeks of my DS's life.

For the first fortnight I was putting his nappies on back to front and couldn't figure out why it was so bleedin difficult.

I happened upon DH doing it correctly and thought what a shit mum I was!

lulahb · 21/01/2020 11:50

Jesus Christ leave the poor women alone - I'm pleased to see a happy smiling mother looking adoringly at her sleeping child people need to seriously do one!

I'm on lots of sling groups on Facebook and on one of them the admins are deleting any posts about this. Some of the comments on there have pointed out that it's a great sling, it's in an outward facing set up and chances are baby was moved quickly as he started getting tired/over stimulated- which is what you're meant to do or that she has it set up in a breastfeeding position.

And even if it is wrong, shes got a great view of her baby, his airways are clear so it's safe and he's snuggled into his mum, obviously comfortable enough to be sleeping.

AuntieMaggie · 21/01/2020 11:54

This is how I wear mine when I walk and breastfeed at the same time my first thought seeing this was it looked like she'd loosened it to breastfeed though if the photographer had caught a shot of her feeding people would probably find fault with that too

StoppinBy · 21/01/2020 11:55

The correct position for a baby's legs when in a carrier is in the formation of a letter M. I saw the photo and my first thought was 'how can someone with so much professional help available to them wear a baby in such a manner as to potentially cause hip damage?'

They definitely need to be buying a proper, supportive carrier for their baby.

StoppinBy · 21/01/2020 11:57

Also, just noticed how loose it is, it needs to be tight enough to stop baby slipping down to chin on chest position, and also to avoid causing back strain as much as possible.

WikkiTikkiWoo · 21/01/2020 12:01

Luckily, a number of you have absolutely no parenting mistakes which is wonderful.

The rest of us, the normal mums and dad's have made plenty!! We learn from them, we move on.

But then, we also don't have the scrutiny of judgemental perfect parents watching every split second of our parenting.

pinkytheunicorn · 21/01/2020 12:02

Looks to me like she's slipped a shoulder off to feed, that's why he's lying diagonally across her. Baby head to boob position! Would be easy to pull a top up and feed like that I used to do it all the time, the just pull top back down once baby had finished and was asleep. Although the I dunno that I'd fancy it in a cold place like that!

Poor woman can't do anything right, can she? No wonder they've buggered off!

MN, how is the constant criticism of this woman in the spirit of the site?

She literally can’t do anything without being pulled apart for it. It’s disgusting behaviour.
