To wish Meghan Markle had realised

I know they are only people and we don't know them. I just can't but feel abit miffed she's stolen away the lovely Prince Harry. I watched the itv program this morning and her saying about the stiff upper lip British thing really annoyed me. I get some of it is bound to be hard. But she was happy to marry Harry. Typical that the women who finally gets the ring decides the British life/monachy isn't for her. Well that's ok Meghan. Don't worry. It's not for you. So therefore let's mess up traditional British ways and destroy the future outlook of the royal family because you can't be arsed with it. I know I shouldn't be annoyed. But such a shame he didn't meet someone to be by his side and support him. She just can't follow him and be his support like Kate is for Will. She has to be equal or above.

I know there have been some dark times. But he's so Lucky in many ways. To be that comfortable. Luxurious houses, the best food, clothes etc. Being who he is is extremely unique and special. I just think if he can't take his role seriously he should loose his title. Meghan has massively disrespected the Brits. She's ran away and probably told Harry she's done with the UK. How can she be so comfortable stealing him from his family and the life he's always had. I think Diana would be sad to see Harry like this. He seems so sad too. Extremely low. She hasn't been able to adapt to life here. What if Harry can't adapt over there? She's never going to come back here after this of he misses home. I think he doesn't realise how much he's going to miss his family. Especially William. Now they both have little ones! You just presumed the kids would grow up together.

All my memories of the royal family are positive because of Harry and William. They put the fun into and modernize what would be otherwise an old fashioned stuffy affair on my opinion. They are the next generation. Without Harry it just feels alot smaller. Incredibly sad they couldn't enjoy a life in the UK. Ofcourse Meghan needs to see her folks still. I am not sure what there plans are now really. I don't like Meghan now personally. she's done what alot of people said she would do. She was never right for the role! I bet the queen has said she will support them because there's nothing else she can do. She remains proffesional at all times. I doubt she will get to see Harry or Archie many more times now. I find it all sad. Meghan doesn't exactly have a close family. Her mum could of visited the UK more if they missed eachother. I think it's a disgrace how she didn't take her role more seriously!

I think MM will be a very sad loss to the RF.

In the 20 months she's been part of it, she's had 95% of the headlines apart from a brief respite courtesy of Prince Andrew. But she soon diverted that attention back again.

She is headline news on every media outlet around the world. Fair play to her. She's played an absolute blinder - topping Brexit, Australian bush fires, global warming, pollution you name it. She'll be ensconced in the White House as the 1st female President of the US at the rate she's going.

Twillow · 13/01/2020 21:27

The UK has not welcomed her. The media here treated his mother horribly, as have the media. Harry is not a likely prospect in the accession line unless all of William's children die, if William ever gets on the throne the way the Royals live so long.
There is unconscious if not deliberate bias against her on many fronts, mixed-race, not British, not upper class.
I don't blame them at all.

NeckPainChairSearch · 13/01/2020 21:28

I wish people had shown this much interest I things like Brexit

Quite.

She has to be equal or above

I should bloody think so!

AutumnRose1 · 13/01/2020 21:28

stolen?

He’s not public property.

You sound like a stalker.

Hoik · 13/01/2020 21:31

All the people telling you to get a life have no right to bitch about other celebrities on here from now on.

This isn't bitching about celebrities though, this is someone who seems to have the belief that they/we have ownership of Prince Harry and he's now been stolen away by a wicked American.

AnyMinuteNow · 13/01/2020 21:32

Wth is up with some Hmm

Andrew has been knowingly consorting with a known paedo, truth, actual reality.

Meanwhhile in fantasyland meghan has stolen harry. Wtaf. Grin

Is there a place the devastated can go for help. You know like, if you have been affected by this stuff that people are gossiping and speculating about making up theres help available.

Anyone who cares a shit about impact on others mental should just stfu commenting on strangers, as if they even have the right.

Highonpotandused · 13/01/2020 21:33

I just think if he can't take his role seriously he should loose his title.

You mean lose his title.

hollieberrie · 13/01/2020 21:35

I bloody love these threads..
As much for the rage as for the crazy Grin

I'm fairly indifferent to H & MM. My faves by far are Princess Anne and Zara.

PeytonManning · 13/01/2020 21:35

Has it really never crossed your mind that Harry is a fully grown man who has made a decision with his wife about how they wish to live their own lives, without being beheld to an entire nation?!

Highonpotandused · 13/01/2020 21:38

Maybe Harry and Megan always planned this? A couple of years to have a baby, set up UK base and then divide time between UK and Canada.

He strikes as someone who didn't want to do the Royal thing forever. It may also have helped him to decide to an American.

MayDayFightsBack · 13/01/2020 21:39

Aren't you embarrassed to have written this load of drivel OP?

pallisers · 13/01/2020 21:40

All my memories of the royal family are positive because of Harry and William.

Seriously! You LIKED those two boys walking behind their mother's coffin so the mob would be appeased??

PeninsulaPanic · 13/01/2020 21:42
Biscuit

In fact, OP, your post deserves a whole packet. Nay, a tinful Confused

Teapot55 · 13/01/2020 21:44

His work for war veterans especially those injured has been brilliant. I really hope he carries on with that. But I don't blame them for wanting to step back from the rest of it all. Meghan was never going to accept a life where she has to shut up and pretend to be interested in stuff she isn't.

PortiaCastis · 13/01/2020 21:46

And the kerb licking media were always going to invent stuff and never leave her alone

Yekrats7 · 13/01/2020 21:50

This is genuinely amazing. I'm so happy for you that you have this much time in your life to dedicate all these thoughts to people you have never met. I hope that all this free time and ability to sit around pondering never ends for you. Enjoy it, it clearly brings you joy.

beautifulstranger101 · 13/01/2020 21:52

Nice try Liz!

sarahC40 · 13/01/2020 21:55

Op will bob back up in a min, shouting ‘jokes! I’m a republican’, I hope 😳

Willow2017 · 13/01/2020 21:57

OFFS can we just leave it now?

Of course Harry hasn't got a mind of his own it's all 'her fault'. She is physically dragging him away. Christ on a bike he is old enough and has enough life experience to decide what's best for him and his family.
Good luck to them if they manage to get away from all the constant criticism and hounding by press and posters like this all over the internet.

She has to be equal or above.
Wtaf? It's 2020 imagine a woman not wanting to be a decoration on her husbands arm, whatever next? Women wearing trousers?? Ye gads! standards are seriously slipping.

Sarahandco · 13/01/2020 21:58

She has to be equal or above I expect so yes, she probably doesn't want her son to feel inferior to his cousins either, as perhaps Harry did to his brother. It is normal for people to change priorities after having a child and they have decided there is more for them out there.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 13/01/2020 21:59

The stupid really is strong on here these days

BilboBercow · 13/01/2020 22:00

U ok hun?
You sound deranged

notanurse2017 · 13/01/2020 22:02

Welcome to Mumsnet, Piers.

Fallsballs · 13/01/2020 22:05

I was thinking this too, is that wanker doing an epic troll given he’s spilt all his bile over the DM.

Paleninteresting · 13/01/2020 22:05

This has been in the post since Diana died. As said by a PP those boys walking behaving her coffin set off a series of events underpinned by how their mother was treated by the RF.

I believe Harry struggled with being in the public eye since then and Megan came along and said I’m here for you, I love you, let’s do what is best for us and our potential children.

The press behaviour since their announcement serves only to validate their decision. I wish them all the best.
