To wish Meghan Markle had realised

I know they are only people and we don't know them. I just can't but feel abit miffed she's stolen away the lovely Prince Harry. I watched the itv program this morning and her saying about the stiff upper lip British thing really annoyed me. I get some of it is bound to be hard. But she was happy to marry Harry. Typical that the women who finally gets the ring decides the British life/monachy isn't for her. Well that's ok Meghan. Don't worry. It's not for you. So therefore let's mess up traditional British ways and destroy the future outlook of the royal family because you can't be arsed with it. I know I shouldn't be annoyed. But such a shame he didn't meet someone to be by his side and support him. She just can't follow him and be his support like Kate is for Will. She has to be equal or above.

I know there have been some dark times. But he's so Lucky in many ways. To be that comfortable. Luxurious houses, the best food, clothes etc. Being who he is is extremely unique and special. I just think if he can't take his role seriously he should loose his title. Meghan has massively disrespected the Brits. She's ran away and probably told Harry she's done with the UK. How can she be so comfortable stealing him from his family and the life he's always had. I think Diana would be sad to see Harry like this. He seems so sad too. Extremely low. She hasn't been able to adapt to life here. What if Harry can't adapt over there? She's never going to come back here after this of he misses home. I think he doesn't realise how much he's going to miss his family. Especially William. Now they both have little ones! You just presumed the kids would grow up together.

All my memories of the royal family are positive because of Harry and William. They put the fun into and modernize what would be otherwise an old fashioned stuffy affair on my opinion. They are the next generation. Without Harry it just feels alot smaller. Incredibly sad they couldn't enjoy a life in the UK. Ofcourse Meghan needs to see her folks still. I am not sure what there plans are now really. I don't like Meghan now personally. she's done what alot of people said she would do. She was never right for the role! I bet the queen has said she will support them because there's nothing else she can do. She remains proffesional at all times. I doubt she will get to see Harry or Archie many more times now. I find it all sad. Meghan doesn't exactly have a close family. Her mum could of visited the UK more if they missed eachother. I think it's a disgrace how she didn't take her role more seriously!

They can do whatever the fuck they want.

P.S. He is not ‘our Harry’

SecretWitch · 14/01/2020 16:31

I bet Andrew is thrilled with all the attention being diverted from him. He owes H&M big time.

God you're critical!

My point was how cruel it all is the way posters only come here to serve to criticise and pick apart others. Case in point.

Go and do something constructive and positive with your time instead, huh? Is that grammatically correct enough for you

I do t care about two people with about 30m between them and their naval gazing.. I really don't.

Just to be clear. I love the queen and support a monarchy but really ??? He's currently SIXTH in line for the throne so it makes no bloody difference unless he becomes a stealth serial murderer.

Go on, enjoy life but I'm not paying for you !

BlackBlueBell · 14/01/2020 21:21

Have we not made any progress at all in this world? She hasn’t stolen him away! It was a JOINT decision! She gave up everything to be with him, but now there’s an uproar because he’s doing the same for her.

And why should she not be equal to him? She’s not there just to follow him around, she had a life before him, she was successful and she still deserves and is very much within her right to want to do her own thing.

As for Diana, I think she would be delighted that Harry is getting his family away from the toxicity of the British media, lets face it, Harry was never one for following the rules was he, I think he’s pretty fine with this decision.

peanutfoldover · 14/01/2020 22:26

I don’t blame them in the slightest. If I was Megan I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near this toxic little country. I think sometimes we forget just how small-fry and insignificant the UK is and how ridiculous the royal institution must seem to other nations. What on earth is in it for her and Harry to stay here besides constantly walking on egg shells waiting for the press to criticise every single thing they do. What life would that be for their children?

The only way misogynistic wankers like Pierce Morgan would ever accept her is if she kept her mouth shut, did her ‘duty’ by attending public events and smiled sweetly (despite the headlines) until eventually she ‘wins our affections’ by being submissive enough for long enough.

Hoik · 15/01/2020 07:54

They're discussing it on the residents group for where I live. Someone has posted more or less what you have said - that Harry should be able to go off and live his life because realistically will never be king unless his gran, dad, brother, nephews and niece all die before him. Someone has replied: "that's what megan (sic) WANTS! She won't give up until she's got blood on her hands."

It's like Game Of Thrones for dickheads.

Someone else is annoyed that their council tax went up last year to pay for Meghan and will probably go up this year too. Several people are shocked and disgusted that their rates are being hiked to pay for "that spoiled madam". Anyone pointing out that council tax does not fund the royal family or Meghan Markle are being told that it does fund them and once they fully move to Canada a percentage of it will be sent to the Canadian government.

peanutfoldover · 15/01/2020 07:56

Oh blimey. It really beggars belief why people care this much.

I think Megan’s worst nightmare would be becoming queen.

Morgan12 · 15/01/2020 08:01

If you care about the Royals so much why not focus on the paedophile?

Bluerussian · 15/01/2020 08:03

Meghan is OK. None of us know how we would really cope in a situation where we have no experience, she has tried. The media have whipped up goodness knows how much in the way or rumours which is so unfair.

Harry and Meghan appear to be deeply in love, have a gorgeous baby and are trying to do what is right for them.

Ignore the tabloids and let them get on with it.

Nicecupofcoco · 15/01/2020 08:09

Oh leave them to it! She hasn't stolen away Harry at all! Good grief, I imagine it would have been a joint decision between them both! She didn't drag him off kicking and screaming. He's doing what is right for his family and I say good on him!
I think the media have bullied megan and made her life hell, constantly comparing her unfaverably to kate Middleton. I get that she knew what she was signing up for, but jesus christ leave them be. Let Harry enjoy his life with Megan and archie.

Biancadelrioisback · 15/01/2020 08:12

I'm aware that this is from BuzzFeed but I've seen these all over twitter latest
The lass can't do anything right. Kate touches her bump = sweet. Meghan touches her bump = vain.
Kate eats avocado = sweet. Meghan eats avocado = clearly advocating human suffering.

Is there any surprise that they want to leave? Could you imagine a woman coming here for advice saying that no matter what she did, people were criticising her, calling her name's, trying to shame her, picking holes in her relationships, her wedding, her pregnancy, her parenting, her life. And imagine if she said that she had an opportunity to get away from it all but her husband was under pressure to stay?
Don't we (general we) encourage men to not just abandon their wives and children? Don't we expect them to put them first and help? Why is that different this time?

cheeseandpineapple · 15/01/2020 08:49

OP, if you’re such a Harry fan, stop reading the Daily Mail or whatever other tabloid you subscribe to because you’re fuelling the relentless, judgmental and intrusive reporting into Harry and his loved ones’ lives that has caused them to withdraw for their own well being. You and your fellow Mail/tabloid readers are the reason why your beloved Harry is saying fuck this shit, with your deluded belief that some how you own him and his family. Yes they’re in the public eye but the level of scrutiny H and M are under is totally disproportionate to what other royals in the UK or worldwide receive. It’s unsustainable.

His decision should be supported for a win/win but instead it’s vilification, blown up by the Mail in the run up to the litigation against the Sunday Mail, as diversion tactics, in case they lose. You’re a victim here just as much, wake up to it.

PortiaCastis · 15/01/2020 09:01

Nasty toxic bitching about his wife has driven your Harry away OP and the online and media covens being set up are pretty low and foul, people should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for being so awful and giving the British people and this site such a low reputation.
The woman can't breathe without a vulture having something to say and being stupidly over critica so I'm pleased she's trying to escape the nastiness.

I think the thing to do is to cut off the oxygen of publicity: this couple want to be ordinary folks.
