Meghan's awful dress yesterday

Just saw the pics of the dress she wore to the wedding yesterday. She normally has fairly good dress sense, but this? It looks like a curtain she took down off a window. It even has some loose cords hanging off it. It swamps her and just looks truly atrocious.

Yes there was a mass of pressure towards the op. She gave a view and a huge amount of posters jumped on her with the how dare you criticise a woman you horrible poster.

Op don't get the thread deleted, you are entitled to your opinion, it is just a shame that some posters thought they were still in AIBU when they phrased their replies.

I’m quite willing to admit that I’m another who thought that there was something not quite right with Meghan’s dress. It was a beautiful colour, but too big and too long and on every photo she seemed to be clutching at the skirt, so it was obviously not comfortable to wear. The hat was not the best I’ve seen on her either, it just seemed to be stuck on her head and gave the outfit an unbalanced look.
I can’t get over the slating that Cherrytrees has had for daring to start this thread. I bet there’s not many of you who haven’t at one time or another remarked unfavourably on the clothes that you’ve seen someone wearing. Just because Meghan is a duchess doesn’t mean that she should be immune from clothes criticism. I’d hazard a guess that this dress cost a fortune but it didn’t flatter her frame at all.
It gave me the impression that it had been chosen simply because it went with Harry’s tie. To me he stole the show. I thought he looked really smart.

According to the telegraph it was £4,000. The model they had in it was clutching it in the same place. Seems odd. It looked amazing on the model.

£4000? Wow. Someone ripped her off good and proper.

I have a different perspective. It's by an American designer. Meghan has worn an awful lot of things by American designers. I would like to see her support British fashion. Mind you, the dress was so awful it might be a good thing it wasn't British.

emperors new clothes - moset designer stuff is awful. remember the complete cods stella macartney made of the olympic kit, as just one example.

the dress was hideous, impractical and didnt fit. apart from covering nakedness it failed on all the functions of clothes.
