The royal family

Meghan's awful dress yesterday

Just saw the pics of the dress she wore to the wedding yesterday. She normally has fairly good dress sense, but this? It looks like a curtain she took down off a window. It even has some loose cords hanging off it. It swamps her and just looks truly atrocious.

I think she looked nice. She could probably wear a bedazzled bin bag and look nice too. Is that why people don't like her?

I admit to looking. Well, it’s a brave dress. It does look like granny’s bedspread from thespare room, but I wonder if it was the photo angle designed to make it look worse in the wind?

She certainly has changed her style recently. It’s very odd. But Kitty who wore the beautiful green floral dress to Harry’s wedding is also wearing a massive floral number, so maybe it’s the wind or the camera angle.

Yesterday I spent the day wearing bright pink crocs a pair of vile orange shorts and a green baggy top.

I am in your fan club already.

I wear my cheap crocs to Tesco, and both have a hole in the toe so you can see my socks ( non matching) poking through!!

I thought it was cool actually. Better in some photos than other....looks massive on her in the Mail.

Loved Kitty what's her names dress too.

I bet you she spends the next however many years until/if she gets pregnant wearing loose fitted dresses just to put people off the scent though. Grin

Personally every so often I'd just stick on a rubber pg belly just to fuck with the Daily Mail.

It's tedious and it's mean cherrytrees. This is a public site and this doesn't reflect well on you. I say this as a committed republican who thinks that the royal family deserves a certain amount of scrutiny. However bitching about a woman because of her choice of frock is demeaning and undignified.

Dress isnt to my taste but she looked lovely. I did like Kitty Spencer's dress.

I think these big flappy floral dresses are a current fashion trend so we'll probably all be wearing them in 6 months time and thinking we are fab.

I think it was the royal equivalent of putting your comfy tracksuit bottoms on when you want to relax a little after having done a long shift in a more strait-jacketed, restrictive style whilst out glad-handing with the grandmother-in-law.

And, yes, agree that she didn't want to out-glam the bride.

FFS. She was at a wedding and most probably wanted to feel comfy and out the spotlight.

Looks lovely and floaty light! a dress you can actually eat something in and have a dance as well without being penned in within an inch of your life.

Maybe she has sense to dress how she wants and not like a bloody clothes horse for people to gawp at.

Really? Not another bitchy comment! So what if you don’t like her dress. Had you asked what people thought or made it a discussion, that would be ok. But this. Dfod.

I haven’t looked at it but I’m sure it cost a mint like all her clothes. All that money spent on clothes when there are people starving. I’d prefer it is she just wore simple clothing instead. Especially as she is meant to be a philanthropist now.

Let's stop with criticising other women's appearances.

Women don’t offer up unwanted criticism on men’s outfits, men don’t ever hear “oh you look fine but you’d look so much more handsome with an entirely different outfit.”

Women are so much more than their appearance.

Ohhh, lets all band together and put women down for what they wear!
So much for the sisterhood..............

What a fucking nasty thread. I presume you always look on point OP.???

The Express have added a helpful poll so you can quickly slag off her dress with a simple click of yes or no.

Personally, I am wearing a rather beautiful pair of grey starred trousers of the Tesco Wonder Woman collection and a fetching black tshirt by Monsiour Asda himself with a small and tasteful bleach stain in the corner.

It shall be all the rage in Paris.

Meghan is so attractive she could wear a manky Tracky with tea stains and bean juice and she’d still look good
So no don’t agree
Hahaha at express running a poll on her attire, utterly predictable

Today I am mostly wearing tracky bottoms. Ancient t shirt. Jumper with three holes in the front, currently lightly dusted with Wotsits crumbs ( it is cashmere though!😊). Socks and high healed shoes I am breaking in for a wedding. Care to critique me with your expert eye, OP?

Why is it rude to comment on stuff she wears? Kate's dresses did Reiss no harm at all and proved a boost to business. Surely Meghans clothes choice is actually open to public scrutiny seeing as she is a public figure representing the royal family? She's presumably got advice on the role including clothes choices.

I doubt MW is going to be gutted about what a load of mumsnet randoms think of her outfit.
Yes it's not nice to be needlessly nasty. I'm all for live and let live, but have you seen it? It looks like something Maria von Trapp knocked up out of a Dunelm duvet cover.
