Meghan's awful dress yesterday

cherrytrees123 · 17/06/2018 11:03

Just saw the pics of the dress she wore to the wedding yesterday. She normally has fairly good dress sense, but this? It looks like a curtain she took down off a window. It even has some loose cords hanging off it. It swamps her and just looks truly atrocious.

Oh dear God, what a shitstorm. I agree that women should not be judged solely on what they wear and how they look. However, if a woman chooses to be in the public eye as she does, a woman who is a former actress and someone who formerly blogged her opinions on everything she could think of, I think it's fair enough for the common person to have an opinion on what she wears. I am sorry if it came across as bitchy. I looked at it and was really horror struck . I think it's a horrible dress which does her no favours at all.

I am not bitching about MM as a PERSON, just what she is wearing. I agree that we all have different tastes and we are all entitled to wear what we like. If a person makes a life out of appearing in public at the tax payers expense and is photographed constantly, there is some flak involved, there is inevitably some kind of response from the public. However, perhaps I should have been kinder.

I wish everyone would calm down. I won't post comments like this again, that's for sure!!

That dress isn't her best ever choice, but she is so beautiful she can carry anything off. I never slag off women at the races - I love to see women out and about having a great time and love the cats bum mouth response it provokes from sad misogynists.

Love the dress.

Wow ive just joined mumsnet and already feel like leaving! What a horrible lot some of you are persecuting cherrytrees123 this way. She is entitled to comment on Meghans choice of dress and say that she doesn't like it or think it suits her. She is not hurting Meghan! She is not commenting on her personality or body, just a dress! Some of you however should be ashamed of your bullying of cherrytrees123 with your vile comments to her which are much more personal. How dare some of you call her a bitch or say that she's anti feminist.

I agree with you cherrytrees123 and hsv3 posted another comment supporting you. What a lot of nasty comments you have got from some very bitchy insecure women.

Mark Zuckerberg is shitting into his tracksuit bottoms because the arse is going to fall out of them.
What does that actually mean, and how’s it relevant to thread

I don’t think billionaire zuckerberg clothing is soiled nor do I think his arse is hanging out of anything

Wow lipstickHandbagCoffee you are getting so angry over what? A lady comments on a dress and you are incensed about it. Why such drama?

Report
LipstickHandbagCoffee · 17/06/2018 20:34

I’m not incensed in least.Carefully Read your own comments.you're somewhat aerated

Heylets I don't know what 'drama' you speak of, but if you decide to stick around you will soon realise that the endless threads about Meghan, from her style, to her skin colour, to her body shape are beyond tedious and mean spirited.

I got squashed yesterday for calling out bitchiness on a very bitchy thread. Nice to see common sense prevailing on this one, mainly.

Report
Heylets · 17/06/2018 20:45

I really feel that cherrytrees123 made an innocent comment about a dress and then got a barrage of nasty abuse from other women making her feel like she has to withdraw her comment. That feels like bullying.

Report
LipstickHandbagCoffee · 17/06/2018 20:49

Heylets by all means op can come back and comment on her thread, the responses
However you're not wholly putting a compelling case by namecalling other posters
Did you read I was of opinion,no don’t get thread deleted, it’s no big deal?
