Why is a Woman in her thirties being referred to as a young Mum? Dianna was a young Mum, Kate is not a young Mum, she is about twelve years older then Dianna was when she became a Mum.

I had my first at 31 too and I can't imagine having done it at 21. The pregnancy and the birth I mean. Wow. Terrifying. Poor Diana

She became a fruitloop. If she'd married some unkonwn but wealthy privileged investment banker type called Giles when she was 25 she would have turned out quite sane, sensible and stable. Like Kirsty Allsop.

The Daily Fail (yes I know) referred to Reese Witherspoon the other day as a 'young mum'. Now, I have a lot of time for Reese, but she's 37! Definitely past the 'young mum' cutoff. Basically 'young = 'ah, we all feel a bit gooey over them, don't we?'

Kate has the look of a girl about her still. She looks like someone who had a happy childhood and she looks moreclike a girl somehow than a woman. Diana looked more like a woman at 21 than Kate does really at 31. I am not sure why that is, might be partly her build and hair but mostly it is her face. I expect she'll age well and be that Audrey Hepburn type.
