So in the Grumpy household DS1 moved away to Germany for his first permanent job (whoop!) on the 13th August and we took DS2 to the airport this morning for his second and final year studying in Estonia. So DS2 is now out of the house, and DS1 won't be popping in every now and then to say hello.
In other news DS1's GF has got a major role in one of the upcoming Welsh National Opera productions (whoop! again) - so both their careers seem to be taking off now.
Needless to say the cats don't care, although Lenny is rather fond of DS2 so may miss him.

Yes - he's had loads of work as a freelancer over the years, but a proper long term salaried position feels very grown up 😆

Just had a call from the vet - Finlay was brought in to them already dead following an accident on road near his favourite field - happened around lunchtime - I’d already left home by then
I am beyond distraught - DS and DP have been lovely over the phone but I’m on my own for next couple of weeks till DD and DGD join me - im not telling DD as she is away elsewhere and dont want to spoil her holiday

Oh God @JaceLancs I'm so so sorry to read that. He really was a cat with a huge character who lived life to the full and was obviously loved and looked after by your family.

My condolences - and look after yourself.💐
He had a short life - but a magnificent one.

Don't blame yourself - Finlay was such a wanderer and would never have been happy confined to home.

I read all the cat litter threads but realise I don't take enough photos of my cats so don't join in, actually I don't take any photos of my cats due to not having a smart phone.
