Rodents and Risk Assessments - the Excellent Cats applaud Gizmo's recent achievements

[TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne]

....... although the Argyll Mouse Murderer is unrepentant.

He's alternately hopping & limping heavily this morning, which is a good improvement over last night. He's even managed to get up the stairs eventually, after getting his strength up with some breakfast. He's also stopped hissing when I go to stroke him, welcoming the scritches instead, so must be feeling better in himself. 😺

Best wishes to Tobias from the Grumpy household.

Yay! So glad to hear Tobias seems to be improving and not in as much discomfort.

Gizmo helped me to unload the cat food today

He's helpful like that 😆

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats, on that AIBU to get a cat thread you don’t know how much I’m struggling not to add ‘… and deport any really troublesome cats to Scotland’ to the end of your post.

Go ahead 😆

I have 😀

😆

ARGH

Gizmo has invaded that thread now.

Come on Broon, how do you expect me to resist?

2 weeks since Fergus arrived - he’s had his first jabs, been microchipped which he was very unhappy about but has now forgiven me for

Gorgeous boy!😻

Lovely chunky boy @JaceLancs

Tobias is moving much better today and putting weight on that foot. He's still limping, from his movement and position lying down I'd hazard a guess that it was his shoulder he hurt. He's back to being affectionate requesting strokes frequently despite sleeping or dozing even more than usual.

He's also trying to eat my out of house & home, presumably making up for those 2 missed meals!

Fergus is with lego tonight

I love that you have a huge Lego-style box to put all your Lego in, and that Fergus fits it so nicely 😻

I love that Fergus is being slipper trained. He really is gorgeous!

Thank you @Pudmyboy and @MiniPantherOwner he is definitely work in progress - Fergus has far more interest in people food than Finlay ever did and we are trying to teach him that tables are out of bounds and plates on the floor mean licking potential! Fish are friends is also the new mantra as he views them through the patio doors!

I'm glad to see that Mr. Tobias is improving.

Linney is trying to persuade me to put my knitting down and get him his supper.

Did it work?

Naturellement.
He's a cat and I'm just his lackey.

I think the tribe have sensed there's change coming. Tonight I had Lex and Toad curled up together on my pouffe, Fred curled up next to me purring, and then Raven ran in and jumped onto my lap demanding scritches and ear rubs.

No news on when Boudicca is joining us. She was neutered yesterday and had to have a tooth out, poor thing. I have messaged the woman currently fostering her but haven't heard back. I know she's probably busy with cats and life so hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow.
