......... and try to break into the film industry.

It'll be an unlikely success as they'll have to stay awake for long periods while filming goes on.

Well. Unless they decide to make Carry On Sleeping.

Yes, he has done but isnt keen on the boat engine. He loves being with us just moored though. He goes off and about, we dont keep him shut in

coastergirl · 01/03/2026 23:53

Latest news on Benny. He's responding really well to treatment. Sitting up in the kennel and seems comfortable on all his meds. He's not wanting to put weight on one back leg so they looked at his scans again and he has a pelvic fracture and one in his sternum. Poor baby. Both are stable though and will heal fine. They are a little concerned that he hasn't eaten or done a wee yet but there could be many reasons for both. They're going to scan his bladder and I've given consent for a catheter if they need to do it. They're only out of hours there so I've to go and get him first thing tomorrow and take him to my vets. They're very positive about him now in general though, far more so than they were.

Thanks so much for all your lovely thoughts.

Ours like boating but only when moored too.

He did so well to make it back to you with those injuries @coastergirl. Best wishes to you and Benny.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 01/03/2026 23:59

I'm so glad there's more positive news about Benny.
Poor wee man. But hopefully on the mend.

@coastergirl poor baby but you must be feeling so relieved right now. Hopefully it's just the anesthetic that is stopping him from eating. I've always felt nauseous (and sleepy) for several days until it's out of my system and there's no reason why some cats can't be the same. Hopefully he'll have something at breakfast time 💕

Breadcat24 · 02/03/2026 05:46

@coastergirl What a little trooper he is. Hope your lovely boy continues to improve. Shows how he loves you getting back to you with a fractured pelvis

CatsonPollock · 02/03/2026 07:48

Good news to start the day with @coastergirl Thank you for the update. 💐

Basil seems a good name for said cat!

ShoutyCatSlave · 02/03/2026 08:43

Just catching up after a busy weekend. Sorry to hear about Benny, @coastergirl, but glad to see the last update was more positive.

Basil is looking rather majestic on the shredder, there! Do all 4 explore the boat together, or is it a solitary adventure for them?

BlueskiesandPoppies · 02/03/2026 09:42

@coastergirl
Bless Benny and everything crossed for his continuing recovery. What a trooper he is.

Pudmyboy · 02/03/2026 15:54

How is Micia @Breadcat24 ? I hope she has got over her fright and is learning to trust again, albeit slowly 😻

Breadcat24 · 02/03/2026 17:16

@Pudmyboy Thank you here is a picture from 2 minutes ago. She looks a bit pissed off but was actually blinking at me because I brought her some food. Just built her a cat tree hope she likes it. She is calmer and has been eating bits of chicken from my hand ( while hiding behind something).I can also stroke her head
Took a good 24 hours before she calmed down after photo muppet. One of my friends came around yesterday but after she heard the story did not try to stroke her just delivered a lik e lix and said hello so Micia could hear her voice.
Should have called her Ninja- my goodness this cat can hide. And she will probably kill me on the stairs.

@Breadcat24 Sounds like good progress. She's so fluffy she looks like she's got a ruff around her neck, very beautiful. 😻
