......... and try to break into the film industry.

It'll be an unlikely success as they'll have to stay awake for long periods while filming goes on.

Well. Unless they decide to make Carry On Sleeping.

@LostCats2 unfortunately big ginger stayed at home. I don't think he'd really fancy a premier inn in an industrial estate outside Sheffield!! But get to go home tomorrow. Apparently both cats have been sleeping on my pillow which is very cute.

Actually, knowing you were all thinking of me made me very happy.

The two boys haven't left my side today. They haven't even gone out, which is not like them. They usually bugger off straight after breakfast.

Proof from earlier last year.

I think this proves cats do care and can tell when their special person needs just a bit more attention, and will give it too, even if it ruins their image albeit temporarily.
Everything crossed for a good outcome from all the tests Broon💐

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 25/02/2026 20:30

How is Micia @Breadcat24?

No more dirty protests, I trust.

Broon pleased you have bounced back today and the boys are looking after you 💐

How's your DS?

DS2 is still waiting for an OPD neurology appt.

He gets sporadic numbness. He says if he waits a few hours it always wears off. It's so strange.

DS did schlep down the hill (and back up again) three times on Tuesday, to feed the cats.

And also to let Linney escape, as things turned out.
🤣

I find day 2 is when the bruising etc starts to hurt when anaesthetics have worn off. How are you now @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne and how long was it before DS got Linney back in? 😁

Breadcat24 · 26/02/2026 15:22

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne currently lost her - should havve called her stealth but will take pic when I find her.
No more poo where it should not be
Sat on a chest of drawers in our bedroom watching us last night

He didn't!
Linney was in the garden when I got home.
I let him back in.

It sounds like everyone has been having a dramatic time! Nothing new here: FC2 is still lovely (and non-bitey) and I've been tending to FC1 while her owner is on hols. She played with all her toys, raced around outside and chased off a large Bengal boy (who is about twice her size) and then cuddled on my lap adorably. She wasn't happy when she discovered that I was leaving and not taking her with me, though!

Kirova · 26/02/2026 17:46

Looking slightly more like a wild animal than usual

I finally stitched up the paw of Fred's favourite plushie. The friends are reunited, and judging from the purring coming from him, Fred is very happy about it.

I have this one https://amzn.eu/d/05oLo8EV

They loved it until they didn't. Typical cats. It's very sturdy and easy to put together.

I had another one previously which they loved at first but then stopped using, so after a while I advertised it free online. Of course, the day I moved it to the hallway to be picked up, Toad and Lex decided it was their favourite thing ever.

RumNotRun · 26/02/2026 21:08

I'm sure Kitty/@EmpressaurusKitty have a very good tree that Kitty actually uses and enjoys.

EmpressaurusKitty · 26/02/2026 21:55

When I started fostering I had a tree.

Then I had 2 trees & now we have a mini forest. We change the smaller ones round occasionally to give her a bit of variety.

That looks brilliant tbh - although make sure it's suitable for normal sized cats rather than kittens or 3kg cats. I made that mistake but fortunately PR was a small 2,6kg and TS doesn't like the hiding box (which she can't access easily due to a smaller hole).

Both previous rescue and The Stray have loved this one. It's about six foot and solidly made. We haven't fixed it to a wall or anything either.

@Kirova FC1 sounds utterly adorable 🤗

RumNotRun · 26/02/2026 23:54

I'm going away for the weekend tomorrow to visit my dad, step mum, and their dog Elsa. I think Lex knows cause he's being super affectionate tonight.

That looks a lot like my current tree. Tobias loves lying on the 2nd to top platform & rubbing his head against the top one - until he gets a little over-excited and falls off!

EmpressaurusKitty · 27/02/2026 08:01

I didn’t get my current setup until I’d known Kitty for a while & thought she’d be ok with it.

One of my fosters, though a lovely boy, was pretty heavy-pawed & would have sent the whole thing flying. Son of Kitty would have tried to walk along the curtain rail.

HumanToCatBeasties · 27/02/2026 08:31

Glad you're feeling better after your miserable hospital visit Broon.

Welcome to the new cats on the thread!

Kirova · 27/02/2026 13:30

FC2 is being visited today to see if he's ready to be considered for adoption. I don't have any issues with his behaviour at all, so I can't imagine why he wouldn't be!

Here he is practising his gymnastics.

I don’t suppose there’s any chance of another neighbour adopting FC2, @Kirova?

OMG I've got endless pictures of Gizmo contorting himself like that.
