......... and try to break into the film industry.

It'll be an unlikely success as they'll have to stay awake for long periods while filming goes on.

Well. Unless they decide to make Carry On Sleeping.

I'm glad Micia has proved to be a capable nurse @Breadcat24

Talking of which - a friend came round yesterday, having had some bad news regarding his health, and he was very upset.

To my astonishment, Gizmo climbed on to his knee and curled up in a ball.

So yes, Gizmo can be very bitey and he still swipes at my legs when I go past him, and he hisses when prevented from going into cupboards, and he regularly has sex with my duvet......... but there is good in the boy, too.

Well he's quite handsome so I suppose one can forgive him 🤣

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 18/03/2026 19:22

I am not sure where he's put his head at the moment.
I presume it's still attached to the correct end.

I think it was @Breadcat24 asking about 💩? I'm 99.9% sure Benny has done a poo in the litter tray, and definitely a wee. Feels like we're winning! Thank you for asking.

Breadcat24 · 18/03/2026 21:27

@coastergirl I am so glad Benny has had a poo

I also think how much I get invested in all the cats on the litter tray I want Benny to poo, I wanted Basil to wee when he had his thing
I feel like an inappropriate stalker!
I also think Jace must be thinking of you with all she went through with Findlay
But look at him now
Hope Benny goes from strength to strength

I'm rather alarmed that there may currently be an epidemic of cats mislaying their heads 😲

I was one of the poo patrol too, so I am, strangely, very happy to hear there has been a successful outcome!
I hope Benny continues to go from strength to strength and this whole episode can be put behind him soon 😸

I see that Finlay disappeared for three days, causing distress to @JaceLancs (not surprisingly)

Anyway, he finally came home. His tracker even ran out of battery.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne - I was more than a bit worried I must admit!

EmpressaurusKitty · 20/03/2026 18:48

I’m so glad he’s ok, @JaceLancs.

I got home at 6.30 this evening and Agatha has just come through the cat flap! I was getting quite worried, so can't imagine how you coped with 3 days, @JaceLancs! Glad all is well, now. Also weirdly pleased about cat poo...

Catching up on his missed sleep tonight

I do like Finlay's banded tail - reminds me of a long gone cat of mine.
Very pleased he's back 😻

I just want to say how proud I am of Kitty.

Her original foster mum, midwife to her final litter, visited tonight. Kitty hid under the sofa at first but later she came out, let OFM stroke & cuddle her & gave her lots of slow blinks.

Broon & Grumpy will both confirm she doesn’t do that for every visitor so I was very, very pleased with her for recognising OFM & being hospitable. OFM was so happy.

Aw. That's lovely.
♥️

And I bet her original foster mum was really happy to see her.

Absolutely thrilled. We’d been talking about how good it was to get updates on your ex-fosters, and then Kitty decided to come out & give an update of her own.

This woman is one of the kitten specialists & bloody amazing - it’s nearly two years since Kitty moved in so it was really lovely to see that she still remembered OFM.

Went to a comedy show last night and this lady had a bag shaped like a cat.
Really very realistic The comedian was so taken with it he did a whole scene with it.
Looked it up on line in the interval ouch the price

Oh wow.

Pudmyboy · 21/03/2026 10:05

Oooh I am not sure how I feel about that bag: I like that it looks realistic, but feel a bit queasy for the same reason, the thought of skinning a cat popped uninvited into my head.....how was it in real life Breadcat?
Edited as Autocorrect removed the 'c' from Breadcat for its own unfathomable reasons.

RumNotRun · 21/03/2026 10:07

That's fantastic! I want one (although not at that price!) I don't think I'd ever feel brave enough to use it, knowing my luck I'd get chased by someone from PETA for animal cruelty.

AlwaysRightISwear · 21/03/2026 11:00

It's a bit disturbing tbh.

Breadcat24 · 21/03/2026 11:35

In real life it was much better because she had stuff in it which made it fatter. The fur was really good with a ruff .
But I would not want one! And as for wearing it on your back that looks so weird
