Hamish (my NMK) managed to get out and got himself stuck in a bramble bush this morning, before 8 am.

My friend had to abandon giving her DC their breakfast, to go out and rescue him.
When they got back inside, Hamish demanded a second breakfast immediately, entirely ignoring my friend's many wounds and scratches.

He didn't seem terribly grateful for the rescue.

I melted Fred with the heated blanket earlier. He became all floppy and purry.

FC2 moved to his new home the other day. My friend is ecstatic and says he's the "sweetest cat ever", so it all seems to be working out well. Meanwhile, I see a lot of FC1 now that she's figured out her cat flap!

The newest resident arrived yesterday evening. A "very traumatised" ginger girl. Again, I've been quite disappointed by the lack of promised antisocial behaviour. She was a bit hissy and hidey to start with but has since been following me around purring and rubbing round my legs! So, early days, but all okay so far...
