......... as Gizmo and Linney almost reach their first anniversary, they reflect on the joys of living in the same hoose.

I hope you've all seen this strange thread.
It was posted in the Retirement board, with the title Catlady but seems to be neither about retirement or cats.

How bizarre!

RumNotRun · 14/06/2025 17:53

Raven was not impressed that I called her a shameless hussy.

We’ve contributed. I saw Linney & Gizmo were on there.

I think it's to do with the Royal ballet Junior associate scheme....I play piano for classes in South West area, and they have just done auditions etc.
But I have no idea why it's been posted there!

Or what it has to do with cats?

Pianoaholic · 14/06/2025 18:51

There is a ballet step called 'pas de chat', meaning "step of a cat!!"

I seem to remember that cats appear in Sleeping Beauty too?

I'm just looking at my cat and thinking that when we decided to get a cat last year, this was exactly the cat I wanted. I didn't care about colour, sex or age, but this is the cat I wanted. I will never understand why he meant so little to his former owners. Look at him, he's perfect!

And he was incredibly lucky to end up with you!

Stripey is putting on a good act of being pious and serene here, but she has actually been quietly destroying DD’s spider plant and was only discovered when I found a telltale bit of leaf in the hall in a puddle of saliva.

@Esgaroth
You clearly have landed on your feet with Kettle, and he's clearly landed on his paws with you too.
Lovely picture and delighted that it's gone so well for you all. 😻

RumNotRun · 14/06/2025 22:59

Kettle is a sweetheart 😍

I've just realised we haven't heard from Louie's mum for a while. I hope he is still dancing!

stormsandsunshine · 14/06/2025 23:05

@Esgaroth he loves you so much - look at his happy face on your lap.

Oh Stripey!

Has the plant survived?

stormsandsunshine · 14/06/2025 23:27

@EmpressaurusKitty too soon to say. It looks like it’s had a radical haircut. I put it up on a very high shelf to give it a bit of space to recover

coastergirl · 15/06/2025 00:24

@Esgaroth Kettle is indeed perfect. Gorgeous boy.

@RumNotRun Louis is still dancing! I follow his mum on Instagram and I love her Caturday posts.

Have you got cat grass? Kitty loves it so maybe Stripey would.

@EmpressaurusKitty I’m still hoping she will go out into the garden and chew plants there (Snowcat loves nibbling on a patch or long grass). Maybe cat grass is a good idea for now though.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 15/06/2025 06:30

Stripey

Hard as it is to believe from her innocent little face, I think she is actually The Bonkers One

Pianoaholic · 15/06/2025 08:46

Stripey could be The Plant Destroying One!

EmpressaurusKitty · 15/06/2025 09:40

Or The Deceptively Angelic One?

KeziaOAP · 15/06/2025 10:17

Wedgwood and Leanora hiding behind 'bars' looking wary - they'd actually run up stairs because the friendly pheasant had tapped at window asking for breakfast 😀
