Thanks all, I'm feeling a bit calmer today. I am a bit disappointed by the lack of police contact, especially considering how many vans and cars were out looking for him, and I don't think my incident was the only one, but maybe there were lots of crimes to sort out after the weekend and they'll be in touch this week sometimes. Who knows!

The cats have all been enjoying this weather. Vixie and Lex have been sprawled out on the back of the sofa and the windowsill, only moving when they start to overheat! Toad has taken advantage of me being off work today and has taken my office chair as his. I have warned him that I'll need it back in the morning!

Our cats would make excellent lookouts. Here they are bravely protecting the open door from flies, ants, and dead leaves (but not the wind, because they run away whenever there is a gust).

I was considerably distracted in an online meeting this morning by a cat: bumblebee standoff.

I think Stripey’s being very brave to put her head out of doors.

My poor little possum Lexter has managed to scratch his own nose.

Tobias discovered a new toy yesterday, and in the words of the song "that don't impress me much".

Came in the door last night to see a trail of used tissues, empty Webbox stick wrappers, and general household rubbish spread across the hall. This continued into the main living room, with a faint scattering in the doorway to the study. On entering the living room I saw he had removed the old Asda bag that had been lining the bin in the living room & strewn it's contents around the place. No sign of the bag.

Eventually found the ripped up remains of said bag in the upstairs litter tray, which is tucked away behind their bed.

Now with many cats I would say that they could smell the former contents of the treat wrappings, but this is the first time in 2 years of Tobias being here or in fact of all the years of having the cats, that such a thing has happened (assuming we ignore the incident of Boycat getting his head and foreleg stuck in the handle of an empty bag for life soon after he came home).

I'm going to put it down as a one-off for now, but it could be very inconvenient if this is his latest hobby!

Bad Tobias! It might be time to get bins with lids if that carries on.

Kitty got tired of me messing about on Instagram last night & gave a gentle but five-pointed reminder that she was there & wanted to be stroked. In my defence, I was making a reel for the cat shelter she came from.
