Poor Sebastian & poor DD2. I’m glad he’s relaxed. I wonder if he’s realised he can’t hear?

I'm on Sal, just on the edge of Santa Maria. The nice polite tortie has come to say goodnight, so she gets the chicken leg meat I didn't eat at dinner. She's very happy about this, and is purring whilst snaffling it. When I said it was for the cats, the waiter put in a couple of extra wings for me to shred. 😃

I seem to have had an accidental win in the cat sleeping arrangements department. Tobias, as I'm sure I have mentioned, is a scratcher - ideally cardboard. I had an oldish long narrow scratching block originally designed to hang off something like a door handle but was ignored when dangling, so I just put it on they bed.

Roll on a few months and this has been completely destroyed, so I got the cheapest Amazon ones I could find that had a wavy surface as he likes that, he can get a better ripping motion with his claws. This is a little longer and a fair bit wider, and I put it on their bed right next to the remains of the old one.

Tobias happily put it to good use within a day of course, but what I didn't expect was that the last couple of days when I get up I glance into their room and he is very contentedly sleeping on top of the wavy surface of the new scratcher.

I was slightly tempted to buy him a "proper" cardboard bed, but decided it would cost a LOT more money & he certainly wouldn't know the difference as he rips it apart.

Kitty’s 6 today! She’s been enjoying a birthday breakfast & opening her present.

She says thank you! No, it’s chicken wet food - she only had a bit of it but she enjoyed what she ate. We haven’t tried eggs yet.

He seems a little tired after deciding that 6.50 am was breakfast time and meowing up and down the stairs until our normal weekday getting up time (7.30).

I must say I can relate!

Kitty will wait until 6 & if I’m not up by then, she starts pouncing on my feet.

Oof I'll count myself lucky then.

He used to wait more patiently but we reduced his dry food ration because the recent vet trip revealed that he had been putting on weight and now he is starving to death.

Poor boy.

NMHC is also having a comfy snooze. On my sofa. She came in for breakfast this morning, which was actual cat kibble and fresh water. Had a nice clean, and is now snoozing next to me. Agatha is rarely this friendly! Lol. (Yes, I did go to the supermarket to buy cat biscuits. And yes, if there are any left when I leave, I'll ask the apartment people if they'll leave them in little piles around the patio.)
