Well, the boys among them are making plans.

The lady cats are having a spa fortnight in Italy.

Bills for flights, accommodation, food, booze, medical insurance and legal fees (not to mention a fund for bribing officials at Ljubljana Prison) are allegedly being sent to an unmonitored email address.

Now come on - Taunting us with cheese and chive scones is mental cruelty - I'm reporting you 🤣

No walking here, although I did have snugs with Frankenstein who actually fell asleep with his little head resting on my arm 😍😍 He then briefly woke up, lifted his head, then clearly decided there wasn't anything worth being awake for, and put his head back down.

I will never agree with this position 🤣

We didn't go for a walk, but did manage to go swimming. I had a black and white swimming costume which is the closest I can get to Herbie's colouring!

There have been cat shenanigans overnight. Or schimozzles as my Scottish nanna used to say. Timmy still seems to be around guarding his territory and he and Herbie had a scuffle last night. Then there was more yowling this morning from timmy and another cat. I knew I shouldn't have got so pleased about them moving. I guess they haven't gone far .

I love singing, and don't have a preference for major or minor keys!

Herbie and Timmy's 'duet' last night sounded as though they were in disagreement about major/minor keys. It was somewhat atonal!

Gizmo and Linney often sing duets in the Dorian Mode.

And Pa Broon often sings out of tune.

Basil uses neither scales nor modes to be honest when he's discussing things with us. It's more like Sprechstimme with a very bad tempered accent.

DD1 (10) felt unwell this evening (nothing serious) and was quite upset. The cats sensed something was wrong and wanted to comfort her. They came to sit in the bathroom with her (which is not usual) and then when she went to bed, Stripey kept jumping onto her bed to rub against her and Snowcat went off to fetch a toy mouse and brought it to DD’s room as a get better soon present.

That’s lovely, I hope it cheered her up! How is she now?

DD is fine now. I don't know what was wrong with her (other than sudden and severe abdominal pain), but she was well enough to go into school. DD2 started working up a tummy ache of her own when she thought DD1 might have to have a day off, which mysteriously disappeared as soon as DD1 put her school uniform on.

Linney and Suzy had a standoff this morning.
I'm wondering if he's asking her about the divorce.

He was very pensive yesterday evening.

Or perhaps he is always slightly saddened by the state of the world.

@stormsandsunshine My childhood cat, who was a grumpy old boy, only ever sat on our laps if we were poorly.

and since we sadly lost DCat1 the other week, her sister has been much more affectionate with us both, sharing out her attention in the evenings, so I think they can show compassion

I always have great intentions to get mono chrome cats- fluffy black or white, chic grey and then end up with an (adored) mog showing up.
I have never been able to choose a cat, but have been very lucky with cats that have shown up.
Does not match my predominantly black wardrobe though.

I have just started to share an office with someone who says she is allergic to cats and have said try to avoid my left side

I've always wanted a proper black and white moggy - sadly one has, as yet, failed to come our way.
Out of our ten mogs to date seven have been monochrome (four black, three grey).
