Well, the boys among them are making plans.

The lady cats are having a spa fortnight in Italy.

Bills for flights, accommodation, food, booze, medical insurance and legal fees (not to mention a fund for bribing officials at Ljubljana Prison) are allegedly being sent to an unmonitored email address.

I think Kat is quite a funny name for a cat but I'm easily amused like that. I once knew a horse called Horsey which always made me laugh.

My husband's middle name means 'man' in our other language so say his name is like John Man Lastname, his suggestion was that we call the cat John Cat. I vetoed it for being confusing but I did like the idea of John Man and John Cat.

My 5yo names everything (toys, pets etc) by just adding "y" to the end of whatever they are. I love it.

This has reminded me of something though. I once rang our vets, and the lady answered the phone with "Hello, (name of) Vets, Cat speaking, how can I help?" I fell about laughing and could only squeak "cat speaking" at her. Presumably her name is Catherine or similar, I could hear her rolling her eyes at me. I thought it was hilarious though!

Kitty had a good time basking in the sunshine yesterday morning.

In retrospect I do quite like the idea of a cat named Kat. Coincidentally we also saw a vet called Kat last time we went. I could have got a phone call from Kat about Kat's blood test results.

I agree with everyone that Tubs is a terrible name for any cat, especially the beautiful Snowcat. I presume the rescue must have been really struggling for cat names. The Cat's Protection where I got mine from had a litter of kittens named after types of crisps at one point. I love a bag of frazzles, but it didn't seem like the most dignified cat name.

The first time I took Alizè to the emergency vet, the vet was a lovely Scottish lady. She examined him and then said there was a wee problem. As it was all to do with a UTI, I said "no pun intended" with a smile. She was not amused!

A friend gave me a cats & dragons calendar for Christmas. One of the ultimate ‘I know you’ gifts.

The March cat reminds me of Snowcat, although I don’t suppose she’s ever visited a dragon’s lair.

Vixen says happy Saturday to all the cats and she hopes you are all having lots of attention, treats, and naps in the sunshine.

Boris is being a right nuisance at night at the moment. He decided at 3am that he required feeding, despite having been fed his usual amount the night before. After dive bombing me from the top of the door several times he resorted to shout meowing straight in my ear, which startled me out of a dream where I thought someone was shouting at me, only to realised it was Boris. I gave up at that point and went and fed him, which will probably encourage him to keep doing it.

It would never have occurred to me either!

We’ve got an NMC! No idea of sex or name but I think it’s from one of the ground floor flats. If it wanted it could climb the tree by our balcony but if it’s done that, neither Kitty or I has noticed so far.

Meanwhile I'm trying to finish my coffee at the breakfast table. Basil and Sybil have enjoyed cleaning our plates of avocado and fried eggs - and are now sitting on me.
I just loved the way Basil stepped over Sybil, sat down and then wrapped his tail round her.
