Well, the boys among them are making plans.

The lady cats are having a spa fortnight in Italy.

Bills for flights, accommodation, food, booze, medical insurance and legal fees (not to mention a fund for bribing officials at Ljubljana Prison) are allegedly being sent to an unmonitored email address.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I think you are right. Mr Tuxedo was at the far end of the garden this morning, minding his own business and nowhere near the house. Stripey was very excited and sat by the door on high alert.

Mind you, she could just be preparing to ambush him - channelling her inner Gizmo?

Just dropping in to spam you all with the latest pics of Elton 😁 We are away at the moment and we have a sitter who's a keen photographer so have received some positively glamorous shots of Elton - soft focus and all!

Absolutely gorgeous, lovely necklace 🐱

We had friends round for lunch, & Kitty graciously consented to their stroking her and feeding her Dreamies. She received them from my our bed.

Nowadays if people are coming round, I make sure that both the main room and the bedroom are visitor-ready, since I never know where she’ll decide to hold court.

Absolutely gorgeous, lovely necklace 🐱

Don't mention the necklace @KeziaOAP ! He's due his regular blood test in a couple of weeks and they always shave his necklace and ruin it!

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne flight was horrible 23 hours
But at least I had my little furry darling to greet me at the end, She was even nice to the cat sitter!

So you’re forgiven?

Kitty is learning to skateboard.

She might take it on the holiday with her to whizz down big hills.

I just caught Kettle under the dining table bapping around an elastic band 😬 I have no idea where he got it from and removed it at once (if you remember he swallowed one before which led to a certain amount of bother).

He clearly loves them, though! Does anyone know of any safe alternatives that he might enjoy - similar kind of thing but can't be swallowed by very stupid cats mighty hunters?

New bonnet mascot today Not exactly Lalique...

I've seen others mention that their cats love spring toys although I've not bought any. I believe @toddlerteaplease has and her (foster) cats love them. Similar to these

Linney had his Solensia today, and he's now lost weight for three consecutive months.

The vet had a good look at him, and took blood. She says he's definitely got cardiomyopathy, and he'll need medication for it. He may have an overactive thyroid, or diabetes. I kind of hope he has one or the other, as they're quite easy to treat.

We're just waiting for the blood test results. I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling about this. If the bloods are okay, he'll need scans and X-Rays.

He definitely looks a lot thinner. Mind you, he's eating well.

Pudmyboy · 10/02/2025 16:30

Oh no Linney! He looks so floofy in his pictures it's hard to see if he is thinner, but obviously you know your cat. All digits crossed for the easiest thing to fix, @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne

HumanToCatBeasties · 10/02/2025 17:11

Oh no @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne how worrying for you. Fingers crossed it's something easy to treat.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/02/2025 17:39

Sorry to hear that @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne
Best wishes to Linney and hope his weight loss is something manageable.

Pianoaholic · 10/02/2025 17:55

Sorry to hear that @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne , hope Linney is OK, glad he is eating well.

CatsonPollock · 10/02/2025 17:57

🤍 and 🐾 for Linney. Hope it's something and nothing and totally manageable.

EmpressaurusKitty · 10/02/2025 18:18

Paws crossed for Linney.

Allergictoironing · 10/02/2025 19:01

Paws crossed for Tobias too please - he's off to the vets tomorrow for an ultrasound scan on his belly as the runs are still going on. They have a freelance specialist vet sonographer who comes in when required, and I got a call on Friday to say she's free tomorrow & can I take him in. Mad dashing round swapping Duty days with another member of my team - we only do one duty day a fortnight & she HAD to be free on that day lol.

So tonight there will be cruel and unusual punishment taking place in Allergic Towers - he needs to be no food for 12 hours! Bar of course the requisite scraps of chicken needed to get the Gabapentin in to him so we can get him in a crate!

So I will shut him in their bedroom over night, and Girlcat can still have the rest of the house just no Tobias to bully. Hopefully he'll be so hungry in the morning that I can get the Gabapentin in him easier than usual, I just have to ensure that every other room in the house has the door closed in case he makes a run for it when I go in there to poison the poor little mite - you know, the one with claws like scalpels!

EmpressaurusKitty · 10/02/2025 19:13

Good luck to you & Tobias, Allergic.

CatsonPollock · 10/02/2025 19:18

🖤 and 🐾 to Tobias. Good luck with the Gabaprentin and the scan.

Pudmyboy · 10/02/2025 19:39

All digits crossed for Tobias @Allergictoironing , and good luck to you in getting him to his appointment: have you chain mail you can wear?

Esgaroth · 10/02/2025 19:46

Oh no, good luck to Linney and Tobias.

Hope they're both feeling better soon.
