I suppose the thing about cat trees is that they can be used for other things if the cats they're intended for refuse to use them.

@learieonthewildmoor has lots of cats, and they do use theirs IIRC.

But as we all know, the ways of cats are incalculable.

I bought a lovely three-tier cat house for Gizmo and Linney, and they completely ignored it.

I then gave it to DD2 and her cats (Sebastian and Cleo) really like it.

Every time I think i could repurpose it, one of the demons decides that they want to climb the tree. The bottle of coke was temporarily there so I didn't disturb the beasties whenever I wanted to top up my drink last night.

Lexter does use the cave every so often and Fred likes sharpening his claws on the scratching bits.

Never considered a cat tree for Herbie
The cat bed was returned to argos with not a single cat hair on it, although it may have been on the small side for him as he is quite chunky!
He has actually played with his christmas catnip toys though!

Probably best not to mention the book shelf I put up on the wall that ended up in a vet's trip for Boris.

Oops.

He was fine and was diagnosed with a bruised paw after a lot of theatrical hobbling around on three legs. Neither of them have set foot on those shelves since though.

EmpressaurusKitty: I put cat treats on the different levels every day for a couple of weeks. They all use it now. Cat Four loves it and sleeps in it all the time, no treats to lure her over necessary.

I like that idea.
