As we approach the festive season, they're already finessing their plans and recalling last year's successes............

Partly because I am nosy but also because I don't believe Shell would have been very offensive, I really want to know what she posted that was so terrible. I've seen some really crappy things posted on here that have been removed but no ban given, as have we all. @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats enjoy your holiday and send our best wishes to TC's first dad. If you speak to Shell, please tell her we are all outraged!

Herbie is gorgeous! I wonder if it would be worth us doing a sort of roll call every now and again? So newbies can "meet" all the cats and their slaves.

Cat 4 is adorable!

Sorry to hear about Shell. A few times I have been reading a random thread and seen quite a contentious post, and been surprised to see her name by it. Can't think of any examples though! Hopefully she'll be back soon, along with Linney and the broon one.

Thanks @coastergirl . I have been on these threads a while and think that I have got a good idea of all the cats and owners! But it is a good idea.
Sad about @TheShellBeach , I loved to hear about Linney and Gizmo. We have a cat in our road who looks the same as Linney, we don't know its name, but have nicknamed it Glamourpuss.
Here is Herbie having a wander.

Pianoaholic not only does Herbie have a bowl haircut and wing eyeliner he also has a saddle.

So he does!
Problem with black and white cats is that they seem to leave their white fur on dark surfaces and vice versa!
I'm sure he does it deliberately.

louderthan · 12/12/2024 23:58

@CatsonPollock they came out after a few hours and it has been utter chaos all evening 😂 they are called Roy and Harriet, Roy after a very dear friend who died a few years back (with a nod to Roy Tucker in The Archers!); and Harriet because she looks like a Harriet. I'm completely in love with them already ❤️

Have just realised that Shell’s bannation means no Linney, The Broon One, Picard or Suzy!
MumsnetHQ have not thought this through.
Who fancies a move to Scotland, next door to Shell?

She has decided to suddenly get long today. Due for her spay Jan 2nd. Vet says to keep her in a room where she can’t jump or climb for 5 days after.
😂😂😂😂 😩

How did it go with Cat Two, or was she already spayed when she moved in?

RumNotRun · 13/12/2024 06:18

Oh @learieonthewildmoor she is magnificent, and clearly going to be trouble! 😁

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/12/2024 08:15

She seems to have grown very quickly. I suspect she'll not only be gorgeous but also quite large.
Her tail is wonderful 😻.

I'm hopeful that I'll be able to report catty news from 'Shell who shall not be named'.
Where would we be without TC updates?

They’d better unban Shell before this thread fills up. Who’s going to come up with the next title otherwise????

Esgaroth · 13/12/2024 09:02

Sorry to hear about Shell. I assume whatever it was that was so controversial wasn't cat related.

Welcome to Herbie - he is a very stylish cat!

Esgaroth · 13/12/2024 09:05

DH fed Kettle this morning and forgot to put the can away (he has half for breakfast and half for dinner) so he's now been up on the worktop and had some of his dinner at breakfast time. He is delighted with himself.

Here he is preventing me from eating breakfast by going full lap cat - he knows I can't remove him!

Shell, I hope you’re reading this and can see how much we miss you! ❤️

My two are Eko and Boone. We are slightly Lost obsessed in this house 🤣

@LostCats I think your black cat is the cosiest cat I've ever seen. You must be an excellent cat servant!

Kettle’s very resourceful!

Kitty’s looking for Shell & her cats. She knows Scotland’s up North.

Thanks @esgaroth, I will have to get busy taking more photos of Herbs, I don't have many on my phone at the moment. Bit new to all this, DS15 has been a great tech advisor so far...

How did it go with Cat Two, or was she already spayed when she moved in?

We got her from the Cat Protection society; already spayed, vaxxed and chipped. I’m trying to remember Cat One being neutered. I think we kept him in the bedroom. Cat Three we kept in His Room: he was perfectly happy.
I’m wondering what are the chances of keeping a kitten in a room for 5 days where there is nothing to climb or jump from. Remove all the furniture? 😂

EmpressaurusKitty · 13/12/2024 10:13

I had a pair of foster girls spayed together - one of them removed her cone 3 times on the way home but ignored her stitches so she was allowed to keep it off.

The other was determined to lick if she could, so had to have it on a while longer.

I kept them in the room with the lowest number of high places to jump, made steps up to the sofa & the cat tree with boxes, spent a lot of time playing with the ball tracker with them & they watched a lot of cat TV on YouTube.

Good luck!

Iamacatslave · 13/12/2024 10:41

I will miss @TheShellBeach. So pleased to hear little Wren turned up.
