Well here we go again - man-eating tiger wrangling time for Tobias to be (hopefully) drugged so we can get him to the vet for blood tests this time.

Appointment is at 11:30, Annie is coming round about an hour before that. So starting to try to get Gabapentin in starting now. Will crush them to powder & feed a few grains at a time on cooked chicken. Intentionally made sure they didn't have plenty of dry food for overnight & have a small breakfast in the hopes he will be a bit hungrier this morning & gobble the chicken without sniffing it too much. Seemed to work last time, but of course can't guarantee that will work again!

I have no idea - it's uncanny how GT is behaving like TC.

Do you think that maybe he was always around but Gizmo had first dibs on your house? Then a vacancy arose and GT filled it! Just decided to side-step the interview stage. 🐈

Well so far so not too awful. Tobias decided that he would only eat just under half of the doctored chicken so wasn't quite as drugged as we would have liked. But he WAS reasonably dozy and in his igloo when Annie and I went up with the crate so I just scooped up the igloo and sort of poured him in.

The vets did try initially to do bloods with no further sedation, and actually managed to get his neck shaved, but apparently he then told them in no uncertain terms that he had had enough. So they gave him a small amount of sedation and have taken bloods, thoroughly palpated his belly (no issues), and have given him an ear clean, manicure and pedicure while he was out of it.

Collecting him at 3pm, hopefully should get the results by close of play Friday.

Girlcat on the other hand, has been really skittish since I came home. I think she thinks it's her turn next!

Grumpy, I don't want to victim blame or say you're asking for it, but I think you're secretly hoping that GT will fill in for TC. I reckon you enjoy the attention from the would be intruders 😁
