Cats on worktops is not something I've had to deal with to my surprise. After the first couple of times trying they seem to stop but it's not like I sweep them off it's just "aah aah, get down! Good giirrrll!!!" This was with my cat and the three strays that we allowed inside. Although my little rescue did have one tiny buttsized space on the counter right by the back door where I normally put the empty bottles for the blue bin. I guess it was better than sitting in the open doorway where humans would accidentally stumble into her.

Hes modelling his plush winter coat at the moment - bar the shaved bit where the vet scanned him

The only thing I've managed to train into my cats is that they can't eat the food out their bowls until I've placed them on the floor. I can go wandering off to find some more cat food leaving the bowl on the worktop and they will complain, but not touch it. No idea why I felt that was important when they were kittens or why it's stuck. Doesn't stop them wondering around on the worktops though!

I do miss when they were kittens and they used to use the top of the kitchen cupboards as an obstacle course. Boris did misjudge it once though and ended up landing in the kitchen bin and getting covered in horseradish sauce.

Kitty’s sulking, because the freedom of the worktop doesn’t extend to when I’m using it. Apparently IABVU not to let her come up & supervise me making curry.

I’m fighting the urge to go back to bed for a nap now. Just so darned tired.

I had a nap when I got back from the gym this morning.

I think it’s the influence of the cats. Probably something about seeing them asleep makes us want to sleep too.

I know it’s a bit early but just finished decorating Finlay’s Xmas tree!
He was in a crate for his 1st Xmas last year so thought I’d spoil him

I love Finlay's xmas tree. How has he not smashed all that crockery behind it though! I wouldn't trust my two.

Finn ignores the crockery on the whole as there’s so much of it it’s just part of the furniture and he has far more important cat stuff to do outside!
