I spent ages last night trying to think of this thread title.

Kettle is gorgeous.

Linney has been out all morning, but he popped back in so that he could be sick under the table, where we had trouble reaching it.

He then went out again straightaway.

How thoughtful 😄

We just witnessed a clash of the gingers. It's the NMC who regularly walks through the garden. Kettle mewed at him and puffed up his tail (most intimidating) but didn't want to go outside and get better acquainted. They seemed more curious about each other than aggressive. Maybe they will become friends in time?

He is a rather magnificent cat (I assume probably 'he' because ginger and big, but maybe not!).

@Esgaroth good tail work there from Kettle

RumNotRun · 22/11/2024 16:43

Oh Kettle, very intimidating and not at all adorable and cute. Honest.

Shell, Toad has been vomiting today too. Thankfully he's kept it to the wooden floor so easily cleared up. Last weekend I was writing out a recipe and wondered why my notebook was damp. I then realised somebody (Vixen and Toad are the suspects) had been sick on my desk including on my keyboard, killing it. I've only had the bloomin thing for a couple of months.

ShoutyCatSlave · 22/11/2024 18:05

Awww, Kettle looks like a Red Panda in that photo! 😀

ShoutyCatSlave · 22/11/2024 18:08

I hope all the poorly kitties feel better soon. Agatha has decided that she can't be arsed to dig a hole in this weather, so she's coming in to poo, then going back outside. She is still peeing outside, but mainly to mark her territory... None of this is a problem, and she has a huge litter tray, but she's decided that she likes facing the very high end (deliberately angled to keep the litter inside), and doing her business as close to the low end as possible. And she sometimes can't judge the distance..... 🙄

Pudmyboy · 22/11/2024 18:23

Okay another blast-from-the-past Fat Freddy's Cat, just because FFC was orange (ginger) with a stripy tail, rather like a certain Kettle...

The not heated blanket that I bought by mistake has proved so popular that I've now invested in a second one for when the first one is in the wash. At the moment Vixie Pixie is looking after it, being all cute and regal at the same time.

That's a lovely colour. Might need a link since it has such a high approval rating so I can buy the Stray her very own snuggly thing once I've moved house.

JaceLancs · 22/11/2024 22:28

Finlay continues to improve - it’s been a hectic week as it was only last Friday he went into vet hospital!
An outing for him tomorrow is looking feasible if enough pees have been had

@Pixiedust1234 Bedsure Sherpa Fleece Blanket... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09PYL1NQX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I am rubbish at translating measurements into actual sizes. If you're anything like me then I can just tell you that queen size is bloody massive for snuggling on the sofa. I probably could have gone down a size but this means that if any of the beastlings are sleeping on the blanket then there will still be room for me to snuggle under it, even if they're doing the cat thing of being right in the middle!

Papergirl1968 · 22/11/2024 22:47

So glad the gorgeous Finlay is improving.

Pudmyboy · 22/11/2024 23:09

I'll second that: go Finlay! (go for a wee, that is..)

RumNotRun · 22/11/2024 23:44

@JaceLancs that second photo makes him look like a very odd shape. I've stared at it for a while to try to work out what bit is where. I thought that it was his back leg dangling down and was confused as to his extra leg but now I think the dangling down bit is his tail?

Frank and Fred have both curled up on the sofa next to me in their overnight places. I think they may be hinting that I need to bugger off and go to bed.

JaceLancs · 22/11/2024 23:58

@RumNotRun
Far right of picture dangling is his tail
one back leg is tucked under - he is not leg less today at least - although with the drugs he’s been doing a good impression of it!

learieonthewildmoor · 23/11/2024 04:56

Cat Four has now settled in so well she’s being free range when I know where Cat Two is. Still some hissing when they meet without treats involved.
Wondering when I’m going to get very firm about not being on the table.

@JaceLancs well done Finlay mind you it is pretty grim outside!
Would you or @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats or @Papergirl1968 be able to give any advice the thread "sludgy bladder" to shockedballoon - they have not had much help from anyone

RumNotRun · 23/11/2024 10:57

I am very firm about the cats not being allowed on the work surface. They are even more firm about ignoring me.
