I agree with @Allergictoironing about Finlay's tail. Looking particularly magnificent in the last set of photos.
Best wishes to Finlay - hope he continues to improve without the need for further veterinary intervention.

Were the black cats in Grumpy's picture the earliest representations of those awful "furries"?

I think they were just terribly unlucky employees.

Matt ventured out into the garden which has a light covering of snow for all of one minute. Socks took one look and retreated back to the sunny windowsill above the radiator.
From the paw prints in the snow on the decking before Matt went out it looks like we had a furry visitor who came up to the back door as neither of mine went out yesterday.

We haven’t had snow today but Kitty’s insisting on having the back door open, while sitting just inside with her ears at full whack.

It’s all very well if you have your own fur coat.

Our snow is mostly gone - blown away rather than melted - but it's -5° and Kettle has declined to do more than sit in the windowsill of an open window.

So much for his Viking credentials.

Breadcat is unimpressed with the snow -I promised it would be gone today- but it froze and so snow is still here.
Any ideas as to what went on here? Fox catching pigeon?

Oo he's just hopped out and gone into the neighbour's garden and it's started snowing. Hopefully he'll be back soon, feeling a bit anxious as he's never gone out of sight before 😧

@Breadcat24 Haha yes he's quite a high vis cat, but he went on a little adventure, presumably around some other gardens.

Cat One is calm but extremely nervous at the same time. It’s all okay unless she touches him, then he leaps away.

That kitten's ear hair is something else! Like an extra set of whiskers.

That's quite enough adventure for now.

Lexter got my arm confused with the blanket yesterday and started making bread on me. He managed to hook his claws right in, the little sod. He was entirely unrepentant when I showed him what he had done.

Sybil is doing a great job of being passive aggressive towards Basil.
Over the last few days Basil has started using Sybil's cat cave.
Came in to find Basil gazing up at the cave with Sybil on top of it ensuring access within was impossible 🤣.
I strongly suspect she got on top of it when Basil was still inside...

I’m feeling much more positive today as there is litter tray evidence of more pee than he has been managing
We have been mixing water in with jelly or gravy pouches and giving him the soup mini sachets in between

DS is now in charge as I’m working away for a few days - the improvement has made me worry a bit less about being away when he’s ill

Oh Finlay! Really hope he gets better soon!
His tail reminds me of a doll I had in the '60s, called Tressy, with the tagline 'her- hair- grows!'*
She had a ponytail of hair emerging out of the top of her head and of you turned a key in her back, it could be unwound to make it longer and wound back to make it shorter.
Finlay is Tressy 'growing' her hair!
(*I took this literally as a child, I was very trusting, so I cut it: it didn't grow back....)

DS tells me Finlay is doing ok
