I spent ages last night trying to think of this thread title.

Oh to be able to sleep like a cat! Finlay looks very comfortable and relaxed, hopefully he'll be back to normal tomorrow.

I am in bed with Raven and Lexter next to me. They're both sound asleep while I am doing my usual Sunday night sleeplessness cause my brain won't stop thinking about all the work stuff I have to do tomorrow.

I love it when they put their paws over their nose 😻

I was woken this morning by Sybil getting out of bed and stamping on my head as she made an exit. When I started to get out of bed I noticed these.
I suppose at least they keep us warm...

You and Mrs G are getting the evil eye there.

Er, Grumpy, you are keeping them warm.
I love the change in the weather heading into winter: where you are is the place to be. Come summer? They look faintly startled when you walk by, having forgotten your existence.

My friend popped in today.

She's got a 10 week old kitten called Bramble.

Yesterday, she couldn't find him anywhere, until she noticed that he'd crept in here, with Fletch.
🤣

I will invest in some cheese spread, thanks, @Pixiedust1234 I’m having the same trouble as Allergic getting gabapentin into him. I have been out a lot today - work and then sitting around A&E with DD and DGD - so been unable to monitor wees but Matt seems lively enough abd has just carried a toy in with that special “look what I’ve got” howl. He did wake me up by throwing up on the bedroom carpet though, despite the en-suite with its tiled floor being mere inches away…l’m putting the vomiting down to the meds again. No more diarrhoea, thank goodness.
What a lovely pic of the dog and the kitten, She’ll.

Shell. Stupid autocorrect.

learieonthewildmoor · 18/11/2024 20:54

What a beautiful coat on that kitten!

Esgaroth · 18/11/2024 21:41

Aw Bramble is such a perfect name for a tabby cat. I must admit I do have a weakness for brown tabbies (don't tell my ginger boy).

Esgaroth · 18/11/2024 21:44

Love it when they get distracted in the middle of grooming and forget to put their tongues away. So goofy 😄

Lexter is CROSS. He doesn't know why, but he is. Or he may be confused. Or worried.

Where's his new heated, snuggly jumper/blankie gone?? No wonder he's cross and confused!

JaceLancs · 18/11/2024 22:49

Had to take Finlay back to the vet tonight - unable to pee, off food again and very lethargic
They’ve upped his pain relief and we are spacing out the diazepam - he managed a pee in his basket on way home! With much crying - I imagine like bad cystitis - vet said some of it will be trauma from pulling catheter out
I’ve rearranged litter tray and other furniture to try and reduce stress possibilities
Hoping he turns a corner soon

RumNotRun · 18/11/2024 22:51

It's downstairs, he decided to move upstairs. After some extra special cat food (the pate trays) and some treats, he's feeling more relaxed although still having a slight existential crisis.

@JaceLancs Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. Poor old Finlay.

RumNotRun · 19/11/2024 04:55

@JaceLancs I hope Finlay is better soon.

learieonthewildmoor · 19/11/2024 04:59

Have introduced Cat Four to the window cushion and chair club. It’s going well.

🩶 Sweet Finlay - hope it all settles down soon - for you both!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/11/2024 08:40

Really sorry to hear Finlay isn't sorted yet. Hope it goes better today for him.

TheShellBeach · 19/11/2024 11:48
