I spent ages last night trying to think of this thread title.

🤣🤣🤣

A quick search shows 23/06/23 was the date our cats all became excellent - cheers Shell.

Yay!
You've just saved me the trouble of searching back through the thread titles.

As I'm now retired I am obviously far too busy to do much searching

@JaceLancs Finlay is really getting about. Hard to believe how poorly he was! you should send that picture to the people with the water physio tank that he hated so much. Maybe they could stick it up to inspire other cats!

EmpressaurusDeiGatti · 10/11/2024 13:41

If Finlay has to slip his collar for any reason, it’s hopefully going to be really easy for you to find it again!

TheShellBeach · 10/11/2024 13:44

I'd love to put a tracker on the Broon One.

It would be very interesting to find out how many of my neighbours' beds and sofas he sleeps on when he isn't here.

I'd rather not lose an arm, though, so it won't be possible to do this.

I'm not retired and am currently on a train going into London. I'm going by train to Whitehaven for work tomorrow & Tuesday (8 plus hours train journey 😲).
Plenty of time today for daft searches. Sadly vanishingly unlikely to meet any railway cats.

TheShellBeach · 10/11/2024 13:46

I s'pose I could ask DS2 to put a tracker on Guillermo, though.

He seems to be a cat whisperer as far as that cat is concerned.

Pah! and Tosh!

You meet NMCs wherever you go, Grumpy.

Not to mention NMEOAs.

It's entirely possible - nay, likely, that you'll meet several railway cats today.

😂

Well if I do it will be announced here first. 😁.

Not My E Other Animals?
Extracurricular perhaps?

Naturally.
You know you only do it to make me jealous.

I recall my own pitiful attempts at finding a NMC whilst on holiday.

I only managed two NMSs, although they were different species, to be fair.

I'm throwing this open to all of you.

Grumpy always thinks he's so jolly clever.

I was going for Not My Every Other Animal.

TC looks very smug and content in that photo.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/11/2024 14:40

Excellent quiz Shell?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/11/2024 15:06

Well there's an NMD at the table across the aisle from me on the Euston Carlisle leg of the journey.
Not sure I approve of that though...

This train (the Glasgow service) left Euston on time at 15.01. At 15.08 the guard came on the intercom and announced it would be terminating at Preston...
FFS.

Esgaroth · 10/11/2024 15:19

Kettle surprised by unreasonable DIY noise in the middle of a supervised grooming session.

Ah, they do that on Sundays.

DS1 once had to get off a Glasgow to London train at Preston when he had a bad hangover, and he foolishly then caught another train back to Glasgow.

Which was unfortunate.

Kettle has very stylish pyjamas. Has the cone now gone?

No, but I let him have time off for good behaviour if he wears his tights. Gives him a chance to lick his arsehole and other areas whilst keeping the leg off limits.

The leg is looking really good but I want it 100%.

EmpressaurusDeiGatti · 10/11/2024 16:33

Kettle’s really lucky to have landed with you, @Esgaroth.

JaceLancs · 10/11/2024 17:06

@coastergirl - yes you are right - village between Preston and Southport
Tracker doesn’t tell me how many miles Finlay has walked just how many miles from home he is and how many minutes of movement and sleep each 24 hour period
When you have it on live setting - which I don’t do often as it drains the battery it shows his movements in real time and mph speed
I have managed to track down missing collars quite well apart from one which is in the grounds of a local stately pile - I don’t even know if anyone lives there as the gates are locked with a very rusty padlock and chain - there is a post box on a pillar so I did put a note in with phone number but no one got in touch
