Did you find us from the weird Site Stuff thread?

Welcome to everyone who has joined us recently (I don't think I've said that yet)

May I borrow Finlay to teach Toad and Raven about when not to disturb me? They are nightmares. Raven insists on walking in front of the camera during Teams calls.

No, I think that’s the perspective - she’s fairly hefty! Although she had her first zoomies last night since I’ve had her & she’s really getting into chasing toys.

Before and after (adoption) pictures I suspect 😂

Mine only has zoomies outside thankfully, but it's cute to see her battering clumps of soil before zigzag running away. Bit like the squirrels she watches now I think about it 🤔

No, I’ve been dipping in occasionally for a while - I think first when Gizmo moved house. It didn’t feel appropriate to chat about any of my fosters on here, but now Kitty’s permanent I thought we’d join in!

Last night’s zoomies were over the bed around 3am Hmm. But I love going to sleep & waking up with her curled up next to me so I can see myself putting up with it.

Thanks for the new thread Shell.
I shall share a picture of 'store cat' who I think lives in the stables next door to my store. Never got close enough to stroke him yet though.

Do you know something, Grumpy?
I don't believe you do any work at all. Ever.

You're either taking pictures of your own cats or your friends' cats, or random NMCs in the vicinity.......... or you're on holiday, taking pictures of a long series of NMCs and NMOAs (Not My Other Animals).

Or you're busy Googling fishnet stockings

😂

Yes. I didn’t think owning would be that different but it completely is!

YesItsMeIDontCare · 23/09/2024 12:16

It was probably safest @EmpressaurusDeiGatti - we would undoubtedly have encouraged you to adopt every single one of them 😂

A big furry welcome to all new kitties to the fred thread. Do stick around - some of us who've been here longer might veer off on a tangent sometimes but that doesn't mean you shouldn't join in!

(((hugs)))

@RumNotRun
Finlay is quite unusual in this respect - might be that he had to learn patience whilst he was recovering from broken pelvis - one of his predecessors took out 2 of the keys on my work lap top and cost me quite a bit to get repaired!

TheShellBeach · 23/09/2024 13:47

Have any of you tried Yumove for your cats?

Solensia doesn't seem to be working for Gizmo, and he can't take Metacam (because of his tummy issues).

Mr. G still isn't jumping, and as Solensia isn't helping him, I thought we could get some Yumove for him.

Welcome all new friends!

Ahh. Youmove (not sure how it is spelled).
I have fairly significant mobility issues currently from arthritis and fibromyalgia flare and both DH and I keep going onto Amazon (who is clearly listening in) and seeing ‘joint supplements’, getting excited, and then seeing it’s for dogs 🙄🙄🤣🤣

RumNotRun · 23/09/2024 15:05

Outrageous accusation.
Incidentally you forgot 'cat exporter (England to Scotland)' in this list of non-work things I do. 🤣

Ah yes.

As I recall, it was actually your NDN, Gizmo's owner, who met us in the undisclosed location and handed him over.

Actually, thinking back to that.......... he just picked Gizmo up from where he was sitting on the front seat of the car, and put him in his carrier. Right there in the car park.

My heart was in my mouth, expecting Gizmo to just wriggle free, run off, and dive into the loch which was just beside us.

I'm waiting for the NHS to start prescribing Solensia for humans.

Does anyone want this? I WFH on a Monday and was drying my hair when I heard him digging about in the litter tray - he must have mis-positioned himself in it because half his poo was on the mat. (He did a wee about an hour later in the tray so I don’t think it was anything other than his usual lack of spatial awareness.)

After lunch I messaged my manager on Teams, who then called me. Louie decided to join the call which was very sweet, then clearly got bored because he got off my lap walked over the keyboard and put the machine into flight mode, thus the meeting ended abruptly.

(he dragged his bed under the clothes airer in his first week here)

I love when they put their paw over their face like that @AmeliaEarache. Very useful appendage is a tail - a cushion, an eye mask, and a useful visual aid to show stupid humans whether you’re happy, curious, annoyed or whatever. Socks’ tails is often like a question mark whereas Matt’s does not assume that particular position. Socks’ tail is also long and thin like her and Matt’s is thicker, but then he is a great deal fatter. Who knew cats tails could be so fascinating?! 😂

What on earth was I talking about, going from paws over faces to suddenly rambling about tails? I wasn’t drunk, honestly, just tired! 😂

I claim credit for orchestrating the entire event.
Never claimed to be a delivery driver though 🤣

Yes, I've referred Linney to you when he asks why Gizmo moved in with us.

But Basil and our boys are so much happier, and they had to put up with him for over ten years.
Even Sybil doesn't seem to care.
I confess I do miss him (a bit)
😁
