Benny is AWOL. I'm hoping that like Shell, posting here will make him come home. The weather is awful, he needs to be home. I'm worried.

We missed out on another Noble Disappointment expression earlier this week, when I had a shiny new games PC made up for me by our useful computer guys. The old PC was collected on Monday for them to copy over all the software to the new one. However they weren't able to bring the new one over until Wednesday. Izzy plonked herself in front of the monitor and demanded programmes with mice, but of course it couldn't be done. Come Wednesday the shiny new machine was delivered, I installed it and we were back in business. As a bonus, it came in a large cardboard box, which thrilled them both. Here is Thrifty doing a convincing impression of an oyster. You will note that Izzy has already been trying to shred the box.

@coastergirl hopefully the little monster has just taken shelter somewhere and will come back once the rain lightens up. Keeping all the tribe's paws crossed.

Aren't you lucky @Anniegetyourgun that the new box happened to have a computer inside?

I swear that my lot think I buy the boxes and whatever is inside is just packaging. They especially like the big cardboard box that arrives with open cardboard boxes inside (their disposal litter trays. If I'm not careful I lose a tray a month cause one of them will sit in it and scratch it to pieces.

@RumNotRun he's just come in, absolutely drenched, squeaking at me! I've dried him off with a towel and given him cuddles. So relieved. My 9yo is autistic and generally nervous around animals but him and Benny have the most amazing bond. It's beautiful ❤️

Yes they are lilies and I do know they are poisonous to cats - Finlay has no interest in getting anywhere near them thankfully

Ugh, there's a little more blood on the duvet cover again. Not much, but of course it had to happen after I'd taken the protective towel off the bed.
