The last thread filled up very quickly, mainly thanks to Gizmo's adventures. He is now a fully-fledged Excellent Cat.

She, her name is Star.

She does look quite boyish there, doesn’t she lol? In the majority of her other pictures she is wrapped around my neck like a scarf, she’s an extremely cuddly cat, although I had her spayed last week and she has been quite independent / sulking ever since.

Star is a spoilt baby, 14 months and sooo cute. She loves licky treats and watching TikTok’s on the iPad 😂 she also likes midnight feasts of treat platters in bed with me when DH is on night shifts. Clearly I am absolutely bonkers.

We actually thought she was non verbal as she didn’t meow for 6 or 7 months until
we put her in the cattery and the bad cats there must have taught her. She’s still pretty quiet though, and prefers to slap you for attention.🤣

Star also a massive flirt and loves men 😂 she also likes dogs and birds, but we try to keep her away from both for obvious reasons.

She is a completely indoor cat, but I’m starting to feel a bit guilty. Do you all let your cats out?

Star has very long front legs or is it just the angle?

The stray, which is emphatically not mine, wants to be outside during the day but inside during the night, probably because we have multiple foxes that disturb her sleep. Fortunately she really likes her downstairs dog bed that I bought for her when we did her emergency spay, but she does like MY bed during the day if it's raining.

I am now eyeing up someone's bubblegum 👀

I think it’s the angle, she looks proportionate (I think!) bit worried about, but the vet has never said anything.

I haven’t seen those bubble gums in ages! Where did you get them? And do they still lose flavour in 2.5 seconds.

The flavour stays for about three minutes.

Ok, I haven't finished reading that thread yet but so far I want an initiation ceremony and admission fee, and why aren't we more cliquey here (or quichey). I vote to shun the newbies! (Obviously I am not serious, new posters are welcome with or without cats)

That thread is absolutely wild. I barged in to this thread with my orange friend, and everyone has been delightful. I'm also a regular "friendly perfumista" in S&B and have posted on those threads for about ten years - they're a bit quiet just now but anyone popping in and asking for recommendations or just posting about fragrance is enthusiastically welcomed. I dip in and out of the weekly menu plan thread, but that's pretty much me.

I wouldn't dream of posting on a thread about TTC, or afro hair, or growing orchids, or owning a classic car - so I scroll on past.

The cat locked out thread was similarly nuts. Louie is shut in the kitchen every night because he starts off sleeping at our feet like an orange angel, then morphs into Lucifer about 5am. He's FINE in the kitchen, and it absolutely does not mean he's been neglected or not loved. We just like sleep. Okay?
