The last thread filled up very quickly, mainly thanks to Gizmo's adventures. He is now a fully-fledged Excellent Cat.

And it's allegedly summertime so Ho for the Hols!

It's his winter coat! Just a bit early but then he is in Scotland now so it's colder than down South.

Um...I think my Toad is broken. His head appears to have fallen off.

Perhaps DS2 might like to take the cute kitty home seeing as how kitty isn't hissing or clawing at him. It must be true love 🤗

As for Toad. I only know him from this thread and I don't think he's looked normal in any of them. I love his gargoyle impressions on bannister though, he absolutely smashes those 😂

Our intruder is back. It is very hissy, and Louie was making ungodly howling noises. Both still out there in a standoff.

Well it shows Louie is very settled and determined to protect his territory, brave boy! Let's hope his ungodly howling is enough to deter the intruder and it doesn't end in feline fisticuffs!

I’d love to say I made that cake but it is a Co-op seasonal special sticky toffee cake. 10/10, would eat again.

The Co-op do some good cakes. A few years ago they did a tiramisu cake that was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I've never seen it again which is very sad but also good as I'd be even fatter if it was a regularly stocked product.

Boone is taking his nap time very seriously. Very good snuffly snoring happening too.

Vet has come up trumps and I now have 4 Gabapentin for Tobias for his MoT & digestive issues diagnosis - 2 for the night before and 2 for the morning of his appointment. So any and all suggestions of the best way to get tablets into a seriously nervous cat who won't be held etc, are very welcome! Current thoughts are along the lines of crushed and mixed with pate (will try him on pate first), inserted into a chunk of chicken, or possibly a pill pocket!

In other news, saw the Orthopedic consultant today about my back & he thinks I may have slow onset Cauda Equina. MRI scan in the next 4 weeks, then depending on the results possibly surgery. NOT impressed by my back!

I'll have to go to Kings in London if I do need it which would be a real pain. Worst bit for me short term is I've been very strongly advised not to have any form of manipulation in case it is, which means no Chiro until I've had the all clear 😒

At least (unless anything changes) it's not a case of emergency imaging & straight into surgery.

Look on the bright side Allergic, you're not having to PAY the Chiro! Tobias needs all your money for sedatives anyway.

Strange squally/waily noises from the hallway just now. There's only one thing on this Earth that makes a sound like that: Thrifty with a catnip toy. Both feather kickers are on the bottom stair and she greeted them on the way up to keep DS company, or possibly to push Izzy off my bed. She's not aggressive, but she has firm opinions on where Izzy is allowed, and will just kind of creep closer and LEAN on her if she's too far up the pillow end. Reminiscent of how I treated Allergic when we were aged about 6 and 4 respectively.
