Machiavellian Misbehaviour- the Excellent Cats Deny Everything

Clarion call to all the cats from the last thread and a warm welcome to any new ones who want to join us.

No! My Arthur is called many other names. It’s how he makes me feel. Shinny, the shinmeister, Vimmal, lots of silly names. He doesn’t mind x

We have always just tended to add 'ee' to the end of their names when calling them. (Except Lenny, Lenny-ee would be daft 🤣).
Basil is also frequently called Bazzer (in a silly voice).

My lot all have a myriad of names. Raven, for example, is Miss Raven, Raven Roo, Ruby, Ruby Roo, Raven Maven, grumpy bum, stroppy madam, and also one I can't spell but it's based on the way she meows at times, kind of like meh but with a Welsh "LL" on the end.

I forgot 2 of Lola's - TeleTub or La La. She doesn't meow much but makes little "eh-oh" sounds instead. For anyone who had kids in the late 1990s or was a child then and remembers the BBC programme- she sounds like a TeleTubbie!

Husband calls ours giovannazi Friday and the undertaker 🤣🤣

We took Linney to the vet's to get his Solensia injection.

We were also expecting UPS to collect a parcel, so I took the parcel to my friend next door, in case UPS arrived while we were gone.

It goes without saying that Picard and Suzy were on our front step, hoping to get in - but when I went next door, they dutifully followed me, right into my friend's house.

She told me that they often came into her house - Linney, too.

She hasn't got a cat herself, though. Just a bunch of NMCs.

Oh, and catching Linney to put him into his basket was unusually easy this time.

He saw the basket, went and hid in his igloo, and I just picked up the igloo and tipped him out of it and into the basket.

He was not amused.

What a day? I'll tell you what a day today is...

Today is a day that we found out that DH is now in "surveillance only" and, provided his path lab results are clear, he's one of the top few who have responded so well to cancer treatment 😁👏🏻🥳🙌🏻

Leroy is as bothered about it all as ever 🙄😂

We heard a plaintive miaow outside, so opened the door to find Linney on the other side of the gate.

I pointed out that he was a cat, and perfectly capable of jumping over it, but still he miaowed.

Mr. SB said "Maybe he's hurt"
and went and opened the gate.

Linney immediately walked off in the other direction, towards the car park.

Defiantcats are enjoying a bit of sunshine on what we have designated as their 18th birthdays (we took them in 17 years ago from a shelter they had been in for 4-5 months and they arrived at the shelter with kittens, so assumed they were spring kittens themselves from the previous year)

@DaBlackCatsAreDaBestCats that's actually 2 cats! Both girls, litter mates, 18 "today". Rosie is the one sitting outside and Bonnie is climbing the kitchen stool in the hope of chicken

Shell Are you sure Linney wasn't trying to show you something he'd found in the car park, or take you for a walk? I think sometimes cats get blamed for being contrary when it's really that we've misunderstood. But other times, of course, it isn't.

I'm not showing a picture of DS and Izzy having made up for their little contretemps, because it looks exactly the same as the last time they were playing the stick game, only this time using a much longer stick
