Long way to go yet but something to look forward to-
"When I am an old woman I shall wear purple

A regular at a nearby supermarket. Very friendly and has one green eye and one blue. I do not think I am the only one to slip him the odd dreamie

I already do plenty of the "when I'm old" things from that poem and I'm 43.

Frederick the chimney sweep is giving off "don't touch me" vibes. He still has a grey underbelly but I have given up trying to clean him.

DS2 sent me a photo of college cat going resolutely about his business today.

Izzy has made up her own variation of football, involving a spongy ball being thrown up the stairs, and has trained DS how to play it. Today DS asked me to keep her entertained while he cooked dinner. He tried to explain the game to me, but I could neither get my head round the rules nor cope with the bit where you're supposed to get down on the floor and bat the ball back and forth. (It's not the getting down, it's the getting up again, you know what I mean.) I began to throw the ball but was unclear as to which stair I should throw it to based on where she was standing at the time - the rules are very particular in this respect. When I got it wrong she gave me a confused look. She had to wait for DS to finish dinner for a good mutual work-out. I felt inadequate.

Meanwhile Thrifty could not be bothered to lift her solid frame from her favourite bed on the cat tree, but did very delicately accept a crunchy treat from my fingers. We all have different talents, innit.

It's cold and raining, so Basil and Lenny have stayed in and made themselves comfortable.

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats how can you tell the difference between Basil and Lenny?

And has college cat got a name?

If you look very carefully you can see that the cat on the right is shaggier than the one on the left and also has a broader head. Ergo the cat on the right is Basil. Were it Karl and Lenny in those positions - no chance of identification 🤣
Yes - college cat has a name - but (surprisingly) that information could make DS2 identifiable so I can't share it.

Actually Lenny's VERY hairy ears are a bit of a giveaway too 🤣

Fred has decided he is too cool to sleep in his cat bed, he prefers to sleep on the side of it.

Linney must be doing catting wrong.

He absolutely loves his igloo.

Definitely doing it wrong. Igloos are not for sleeping in. They're for rolling about in while a human pokes the outside with a stick. Although a knitted blanket will also do the job.

Lexter says hi everyone. Will someone send him food as his useless human just keeps taking photos of him and laughing at his blep, instead of giving him treats and food.

This is Brian. He has no brain cells and gives no shits…

I used to have a cat called Brian. He was a very smart and streetwise cat, and I can assure you the amount of brain cells makes zero difference to how many shits they give 😂

Brian is adorable and definitely has nothing to do with the random mess by your sink.

Aw look at Lexter! A lot of his fur has grown back now.
