Potential new inmate at Toddler Towers.

Keep your paws crossed that Penelope (also to be known as Pickle) will be right for Cheddar and arrive soon.
I'm a bit confused by her story, but she's an ex show cat. So hopefully will be healthy.
She's not yet in the rescue so we do t k ow her personality. But from what I've seen as show cats. They are pretty docile.

The rescue told me about her when O told them of Magic's death. And when I got to work that night. We had a patient called Penelope. So I take it as a sign!

I'm trying to speed it up a bit but the rescue is busy.

And about and asleep in Magics old wicker igloo. According to my cat cam. I'm at work. I am absolutely shattered as she had me up twice last night and barely slept the night before.,

That sounds like true cat behaviour. You are worried and suffering from lack of sleep. Penelope is checking out the sleeping options!

She's been kept in a pen, so I think is finding the space she now has quite overwhelming.

A tiny bit more relaxed this evening. I've been at work all day so the house has been quiet. Much less growling this evening. And she's eaten a little bit.

Cheddar is fine, but was lying on the landing giving me daggers while I was on the bed with Pickle. But all forgiven with lots of cuddles.

Only allowed one lot of drops this morning! And didn't wake me up wanting out of the room. She's discovered the bed. So has more space to spread out.

Cheddar thanks her admirers! We are having lots of extra cuddles.
Had a breakthrough with Pickle. She loves a brushing. She's been purring her head off. And has been walking all over me. Won't sit on me, but suspect it won't be long before she does. Something tells me that she is going to be as cuddly as cheds.

Worried I've cocked to the introduction with Cheddar, as I kept her downstairs, but pickle seemed worried that she might be around. On the other hand it could just be that ages very nervous about big spaces.

Just been to vet. Still has temperature and infection. They want to flush her ears out. While she's being spayed. But rescue want to try antibiotics first. As it's cheaper. Had an injection of metacam. Also she discovered that she's got awful teeth and needs a dental. Which is a surprise as she is as being shown until last year, and she's only 3.
She was very good at posing for photos though.

If affordable, seems a waste not to flush the ears out while she's asleep anyway. Are the rescue paying for the treatment of existing conditions, as she's technically a foster still?

I suppose they could try the antibiotics, then if that doesn't work then get the ears flushed while she's having her dental.

The other option (assuming they are paying for the other stuff) would be for you to pay for the ear flushing part while she's being spayed if you and the vet feel that's the right route to take at the mo.
