Keep your paws crossed that Penelope (also to be known as Pickle) will be right for Cheddar and arrive soon.
I'm a bit confused by her story, but she's an ex show cat. So hopefully will be healthy.
She's not yet in the rescue so we do t k ow her personality. But from what I've seen as show cats. They are pretty docile.

The rescue told me about her when O told them of Magic's death. And when I got to work that night. We had a patient called Penelope. So I take it as a sign!

I'm trying to speed it up a bit but the rescue is busy.

Ears are completely fine. And her teeth are also ok. No need for a dental as yet. And no sign of the reabsorption lesion that we first though she had. (May have been food). I definitely saw a manky mouth on that first appointment. But teeth are clean with just a bit of gingivitis. No need for a dental.
Still has a consistently high temperature but we are thinking that's just her normal, as she's not unwell at all.

Does that mean she doesn't have to play hide and seek with you and that pesky mite medication anymore? 😂

Yep! Just a week of metacam for her spay. That's all and I've sorted out money with the rescue and we are all good. My equilibrium is restored. Hopefully now she can properly settle as she's not gone longer than 4 days without an appointment.

@YetAnotherSpartacus yes. I was as well. I think she's a warm cat and appointments just make her a bit cross and it pushes her over the edge of normal limits.

She's celebrating by snoozing in the wardrobe and hissing at me every time I check on her. Can't say I blame her as every time I've evicted her, it's been for ear drops, metacam or a vet visit!

Just realised it's two months to the day since Magic died.

Miss my beautiful girl terribly. But I think she had sent me Penelope, just as Maia sent Cheddar.

She was beautiful.

Barring the green additions from the sister, that's the most real live cat-like Pickle has looked (as opposed to a very cute realistic toy).

And thank you for that lovely picture of Magic. You will never NOT miss her, but the pain will get less sharp over time. I can still be brought to tears over certain things that remind me of Boycat and that's been 8 months now.
