So THIS is why MN needs a like button. Fab picture Long

We are running into a few issues with Lasagna, who has now fully found his feet and as a result is trying to establish dominance over anyone he can. He's given up on Loni and Fett, but is bullying the other two. Fortunately I have a house full of people at the moment so plenty of interventions and he is getting better. And this morning Toni fully bapped him and he ran off. But this settling in a new cat business is hard work.

nettie434 · 03/08/2023 18:42

Great photo TheLongRider. I can only do admiration for Lasagna, pointythings and have no practical advice. Hopefully the older cats will keep things on an equilibrium in terms of cat dominance.

Long! Terrible cute.

Bonfire23 · 03/08/2023 19:21

I woke up to this next to me in bed this morning. I didn't put him there or tuck him in. All his own work.

Oh coaster!! He knows your mum and felt safe next to mum!! ❤️❤️❤️

Florissante · 03/08/2023 19:57

So cute!

How long till Shady is fully charged?

coastergirl · 03/08/2023 21:40

He really is an absolute babe. A cheeky one though! He's determined to steal jigsaw pieces and has just tried to make off with my phone charger. My 4yo calls him Baby Cat, which is just so cute

Papergirl1968 · 03/08/2023 21:52

OMG, Benny is cuteness overload.

LostCats · 03/08/2023 22:45

Eko is still ‘the kitten’ at 3yrs old and 6.5kg. And as DH says, he will always be our kitten ❤️
My DM does not cope with this 😆

There really is no point in cat beds when a suitcase is all they really want

A rare picture of a cat in a cat bed.
This is Harley and he lives with DS.

Those donut snuggle beds look so amazing! A friend had 2 cats who loved them. I’d love to get for mine but they just turn their noses up at lovely beds sadly

Has TC booked a holiday with you? 🙀

Socks is nicknamed Socksy Kitten. Although she's about four, she's the baby (or the babbie as we say in the Black Country!)

I'd send TC to reserve the sunbeds.

Benny had his first jabs and microchip today. He was a star. He does have some little unwanted "friends" but they gave him flea and worm treatment. He also has one undescended testicle, bless him. They'll check it next time. His heart etc are perfect.

Not directly cat related, but my 8yo who is autistic was having a wobbly day today. He was struggling at the vets, trying to use my keys to get out of the consultation room (it wasn't locked). I asked what he was doing and he got upset, saying he wanted to go home etc. The vet nurse was AMAZING with him. She had him listening to Benny's heart and his own using the stethoscope, included him in everything she did. She also took Benny out of the room to do the microchip because of the bigger needle. It's just so refreshing when people understand and help.

Another vet nurse came in purely because she'd heard there was a cute cat there and squealed "oh it's an orange one!" 😂

I love my vets ❤️

YesItsMeIDontCare · 04/08/2023 23:32

I love my vets ❤️

Well jell. I've registered Leroy at a new vets. Original vets closed, got him in at the vets the family cats used to go to, they retired and sold to Medivet. Now they don't open Saturdays "but you can go to one of our other practices" 😠

We want nice friendly vets who take time to know our fur babies, not randoms where you never see the same vet twice!

He's booked in for his boosters and check up, and lovely neighbour has offered to take us if DH is not feeling good.

coastergirl · 05/08/2023 00:24

@YesItsMeIDontCare how is DH?

We are very lucky with our vets tbh. You can just tell they are all in it for the right reasons. When Walter was hit by a car, every person who rang me with an update told me how much all the staff loved Walt, and how cool his name was!

I have a very tired little orange ball of fluff curled up next to me 🧡

Allergictoironing · 05/08/2023 09:03

My vets are great. Yes they sold out to Medivet a few years ago, but I think they are partnered rather than run by them as they have all the same staff including the fantastic Nigel ( a real cat whisperer) and the lovely Cathy who looked after Boycat during his illness. Same nurses as there used to be, and everyone is lovely.

Yes Medivet practices can be more expensive, but I think it's still down to the individual practice how they treat you and your pets, and whether they are a "partner Practice" or wholly owned.

LostCats · 05/08/2023 09:10

Ahaha yes. Eko is the soft and soppy cousin of TC
