Continuing the adventures of all our cats, the well-behaved and the less well-behaved.

Walter is probably thinking "I spent FOREVER training these slaves, then some little squirt comes in and undoes most of my good work by being cute & cuddly, and letting them take liberties!".

@nettie434 we can't be sure how old he is because he's a rescue, originally from Egypt, but vets reckon he's about 2, same age as Toni and Loni. He'll calm down and settle in. We do get some swipes but they are all claws in, and bottle brush tail never lasts more than a second or two. The issue is that Las, Toni and Loni are all the same age and also Las wants to play but is too boisterous about initiating. He'll learn. Fortunately I have a large house and a large 8x8x20 catio so lots of places for them to time out if they need to.

I'm trying to give Walt lots of attention and love. He just wants to be well away from Benny at the moment. I do think he'll come around though.

Benny, be nice to your new brother!

Benny is being an absolute sweetheart. Cautious but friendly with Walter. Not even cautious with us, just a lot of fun! Walter will be ok. He's spent the morning in my bed with me.

Thanks pointythings. So Lasagna can truly claim to be descended from an Egyptian deity cat 😸 It sounds like you have the ideal set up - very sociable but plenty of space when it's needed.

Get a big lasagne slice or medium spade, lift pet, slide underneath, replace furry top layer.

Or, Prince says, the shops are doing nice beanbags.

Very cuddly, had a nice full facial belly rub earlier.

Length of time it takes me to empty the dishwasher: roughly five minutes.

Amount of times I had to remove Benny from the dishwasher during this process: approximately 5,642.

He is just doing a quality inspection.

He's hilarious, a truly mischievous kitten, into everything. Then passes out on the warm Sky box for a few hours.

Talking of cats appropriating seating, I've found this going on the last few days. No idea why in particular - he has his bed upstairs, windowsills, my bed as soon as I'm up, his favorite boxes to lie on top of (3), his igloo, the stairs (frequent), the upstairs hallway both at the top of the stairs and across the loo door......

His choice may be influenced by the fact that after they've been fed and I have a cuppa, that's the first place I sit in the mornings
